3 Ways To Keep Clean {Link Party Features}

clean

I love {love love love} to organize and clean.

Well, maybe not scrub the toilets, but I love to “pick up” and make my house look presentable.

I am sure you can imagine what a crazy nester I was when I was preggers. Yea, it was bad.  Bad to the point that I thought my husband might hurt me if I ask him to organize one more sock drawer.

By the way, why do men keep their closets so unorganized and messy? It’s like a bomb went off in there. I am very thankful we don’t share a closet or I would be all crazy wife on him.

Not that I haven’t gone all crazy wife on him anyway. Ahem.

There were some fantastic ideas linked up to the “Clean It” party and I wanted to share with you 3 of my favorites {even if I am a few weeks late}!

First of all, my scarf collection is out of control and so is my ability to organize them. I was so inspired to see this fantastic scarf organizer by Bonfires and Wine. Creative, huh?

Another genius way to keep clean? Have your kids clean! Don’t think I’m above that. You better believe that once SJ gets his booty out of diapers he’ll be learning how use a vacuum.

I have never come across a chore chart down with cookie sheets and magnets. I would say, “Smart Cookie”, but that’s a pretty corny pun. Check out how Boxy Colonial put together this chore chart system for her family.

And finally…can we all get an AMEN for nice, pretty and organized kitchen drawers?

Listen, I’m still guilty of having a few kitchen drawers that are out of control, but this weeks link up has pretty much sealed the deal on the fact that I’ll be spending my weekend organizing the crap out of those drawers. The dorky side of me just got really excited about that.

One of my favorite parts about The Hankful House’s kitchen drawer organization is that it doesn’t have to be complex or expensive. She even uses Glad plastic containers for pete’s sake. Love that.

Alright, so what are you doing to keep clean and organized. Please share so I can add to my weekend plans! ;)

  1. I`m an English literature student, so I have a lot of books in my bookshelf, and I often find it a total chaos. But when do organize it I like to arrange the books after colour, that way it looks a bit prettier!:-)

You know what’s crazy? My boyfriend is the neatest, most organized man alive. It puts me to shame, and I think of myself as very clean (i.e. always make my bed, no clothes ever on the floor, etc). He keeps me in check. His closet and his home office are all coordinated, it’s insane!

  3. I love to keep things clean and organized. My husband? Not so much. Some days I think he was sent here to challenge my sanity. :) We had new appliances delivered this week so it looks like my house threw up on itself. Overwhelmed? You betcha!

Have you ever heard of The Container Store? I just stumbled onto their website and have so many ideas running through my head. They have a ton of super cute containers and bins and they even have drawer organizers and I immediately thought of you…just thought I would share so it could possibly make your drawer organizing a little more fun.

  5. Thanks so much for featuring my chore chart!

Thank you so much Mandy for the feature. Believe me the dorky side of me gets really excited to clean out things as well. I could sit and stare and newly organized things for hours. Who needs a massage? Not me, I’ll just look at my organizations closet for relaxation :)
