I’m not complaining…because it’s definitely been adventurous, but I’m ready to take a break from the crazy and let life SLOW DOWN a little.
Do y’all ever feel like summer-time is here and gone in a flash?
I mean, how on earth can it possibly be July already. One of my teacher friends was already setting up her classroom for next year. Really?
The time that I have spent at home has been spent working and redecorating. Ha!
We hosted a July 5th party and so, of course, it motivated me to re-do gallery walls and spruce up my back patio. Funny how having guests over always motivates you to finish projects that have been needing finished for months. I should probably host a party monthly to keep me on top of my to-do list.
AND YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE? I’m finally finishing up the little boy’s bedroom! That only took me 6+ months.
I’ll try to share pictures of the new robot theme soon! Still waiting on my rug to show up.
Soooo speaking of the party we hosted…. I might or might not have pretended I was in a band for about 4 minutes.
Yea. There was a “special” performance (and by special I mean non-professional) by me, my best friend Katie and Chris Slone. We played Leave The Pieces by The Wreckers.
Holy cow peeps. Band performances are too much pressure for me. Haha! Especially in front of all of my favorite people.
Luckily I didn’t get boo-ed off the stage (errrrr grass area). And Katie did all the singing…she was amazing! Someone has a video of our trio debut somewhere…if I get brave I’ll post it.
Next up for my guitar lessons? I’m learning a song with my mama! If you have any good suggestions for a country song for us to learn, let me know in the comments. We haven’t picked anything yet.
This summer might be a blur so far…but it’s been a good blur. One made of lots of memories! I’m trying not to focus on saying “I’ve been sooo busy!” But instead? “My life is full!”
There’s a big difference.
