{Hair Tutorial} Avocado & Olive Oil

Do y’all remember when I was talking about trying out an avocado/olive oil treatment on my hair? It’s probably been over a month since I tweeted about it, but today I am finally sharing the video with you.

My friends Nina from Peace, Love, & Good Food and AP from I Love You More Than Carrots are the ones that get all the credit for this crazy concoction! They said it would make your hair healthier…and so I wanted to test it.

Watch and find out my thoughts. You can also witness Bents eating my deodorant. Nice.

Have you tried the avocado & olive oil treatment? If so, I’d love to hear your opinion!

several things…..

1.) i’m apparently too tired and or lazy to use proper punctuation today, so let’s just go with it.

2.) i love your boys. can you please relocate so we can get together and ‘play’ all the time?

3.) i’m headed to target soon and better believe i’m buying an avocado! :)

happy week, friend!!

I tried this bc of Nina’s vlog too. I made a huge mess and it completely creeped out my 3 yr old. He told me I shouldn’t put food in my hair :) But I liked it and will do it again. Your boys remind me so much of mine. We call ours Wildman and Wildman 2.

OK Mandy… This is the CUTEST video of all time. I just love your boys! I also loved seeing you interact with them… You are such a fun momma! Your hair looks super smooth at the end too! I tried it and really liked how smooth it made my hair, too :) Take care girlfriend! Xo!

I adore your boys. Seriously. I wish we could have play dates ALL THE TIME. C was SO confused the last time I did this to my hair- he kept looking at me and yelling, “EAT? MINE? GIVE? YUMMMMMMMMM!”

Omg, I was dying laughing watching this video! With baby boy #2 on the way, I can only imagine the antics that will be going on here in the next few years. You are so patient with them… what is your secret?!

I am not sure about putting food in my hair, but I could def use some major conditioning these days. Maybe I’ll give it a whirl! Thx for the info.

Love this! Too cute! I need to try this. Did you wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner after you rinsed out the avocado mixture or did you just rinse and style?

I actually stopped doing avacado and olive oil and moved on to coconut oil. I did love the avacado and olive oil but I like this way better and not as messy. I read up on it and it’s actually suppossed to be better. I use it for everything! I out it on my face at night and use it as a lip balm. I cook with it and I even whipped some up for body butter. The stuff is amazing!!
