Today is my dad’s birthday! I won’t mention his age…you know…so he can still feel young and hip!
My dad is so many things to me! He is my dad (of course), my friend, my son’s papa, my #1 speed dial, my carpenter, my plumber, my electrician, my car technician, my “go to” guy when I have no idea how to fix something, a father to my husband, my babysitter, someone I can count on to know the answer to just about anything (even though I hate to admit it), someone who has given me everything I have ever needed (and most of the things I have ever wanted), someone who I can count on no matter what, someone who loves me even when I am crabby (sometimes), and most importantly someone who has created and shaped the person that I am today.
My dad and I are a lot alike. Neither of us like to admit that, especially in the heat of an argument about who is right…but we are. No getting around it.
I love my dad TONS! He is honestly always willing to lend a hand and help us when we need something done. He has turned into such a great papa to P! We are so thankful for the knowledge and love that my dad has shined on us!

Thanks Mando, I finally made your blog. Sometimes it is nice to hear those things. That is the best Birthday gift of all! I am the thankful one, for having such a wonderful daughter and family! You are a great Mommy and Jeff is a great Daddy. I know that “P” will turn out just as well as both of you did!
Being 58 doesn’t make you feel young, but I can feel my hip! Dad, and also P’s Papa.
… You are crabby sometimes! And … I still love you … sometimes!
You Dad’s comment was too funny
Happy Birthday to your Dad! It’s so wonderful that you guys have such a great relationship…and he gets to be around for P!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
What a sweet post!! Happy B’day to your dad!! xoxo
What a great tribute to your dad. I was planning on saying how old he was but he beat me to it. The nice thing is that he will always be almost 2 years older than your really good uncle. He is Hip, but lets hope he doesn’t have to replace either on at his age. I only hope that when I am old enough to be a Papa, I have as great of a relationship with my boys.
