If it looks like I was sweeping the floor…I wasn’t.
That was Ruby.
Ruby is the name we gave our Roomba. In case you were wondering.
I ask her to clean the kitchen floor…and then I forgot that I had left her on for over an hour. She was so quiet. She had escaped in to the playroom. Isn’t that lovely. She read my mind.
Not only does she clean my floors. She reads my mind?
Unheard of.
Almost better than having my husband around. Almost.
Ok, back to the playroom.
I did try and pick up the toys a little for you. There are nearly a million toys in this one room and usually he has to have them all out at once.
I try to hide them all with LOTS of storage spaces.
If you open that little ottoman by the chair you will see it’s full of books. The basket by the chair is full of balls. And under the train table has storage bins and buckets full of god knows what.
The big ottoman is stuffed FULL of toys. And that colorful toy bin shelf…another one of my type A purchases FULL of trucks and cars.
Did I mention that crazy colored chair is the time out chair. P finds himself sitting there quite often. Good thing it’s comfy. Have you noticed my stripe on the wall yet? I heart that stripe. My dad hates it.
I desperately NEED to decorate the wall above the couch. Any suggestions?
Thank goodness for these doors.
You know. The doors that I can shut when I no longer want to listen to the sound of P beating his drum sticks on the train table.
Anyway. There you have it. The playroom revealed.
This is the cleanest I will probably EVER see this room.

I need a Ruby. Killer playroom… I bet the boys will build some sweet forts in there! 🙂 How about a set of three shelves for pictures or something above the couch? A set of three pictures staggered? Oh! How about framing P’s masterpieces??? You could change them out & add Bents’ eventually? That fits with the playroom feel!

Nice! I love the stripe! I’d frame pics of your kids and put them above the couch!

Love the playroom and all the pics of the house! I’ve been following your blog for awhile now and love your taste in decorating (including the stripe on the wall!). Since it is the playroom, why not put a variety of pictures of the boys on the walls? Some of your favorites of them playing, smiling, being with family, etc. I’m sure it will look great, no matter what you decide.
