We have officially experienced our first REALLY scary storm! I will have to give you a full update when we get our power back….and let me stress “WHEN”…because it is going to be awhile. Right now they are saying Wednesday at the earliest. It could possibly be 10 days before we actually have power restored. Our area has been devastated by the 106 mph winds that came through Friday. The news is calling it an “Inland Hurricane”.
Our house took a pretty good beating, but luckily we are not hurt and, most importantly, we are ALIVE!
We are at Nina’s right now because they have a generator and because they were generous enough to invite us for dinner. I am actually on Nina’s MacBook right now. This thing is cool!

Don’t look for me to be posting any time soon. I really doubt power will be restored by Wednesday so unless I am back at 703…I won’t have access to my blog.
Please pray for us and for everyone in our area. The damage is unbelievable.

Oh my goodness how horrible!! We were hit by a hurricane this last summer and we had a tree limb fall on the house = hole in the roof and were without power for 2 weeks!!!! In the summer time! Ugh it was horrible! But we were very fortunate that our family and friends had power so we shuffled around houses and made it work. Good luck! So glad you all are OK!
