Welcome to the Inspire Me Please Weekend Blog Hop.
We started 1st grade basketball this week. Can I just say I miss Kindergarten basketball?
When it was less intense. Less competitive. Less demanding. AND less consuming.
I’m not ready for the rat race of kids and sports. I want my kids to enjoy what they love, but I absolutely do not want to spend every night at a basketball court, baseball field or soccer game. I want to look back on this time in my life and remember the time we had TOGETHER.
Not the time we spent running from practice to practice.
So I’m making it my mission this week to figure out some boundaries and guidelines on to what this means to me.
I’ll get back to you on that. Ha!

I am so with you on not wanting to overcommit to the rat race of kid sports, Mandy! My oldest is a first grader, too, and we’ve purposefully kept him in a sports league so far that doesn’t involve weekday practices. With three kids, I’m not looking forward to the day that we can no longer get around those! 😛 Thanks for hosting such a fun party…hope you’re having a great week!
