WARNING: This post may make you EXTREMELY hungry. Of course, if you are pregnant…it may make you extremely hungry and then ticked off that you can not get a breakfast this good anywhere besides San Francisco.
One of our favorite things to do when we travel…eat at new and delicious restaurants!
I can honestly say that I have NEVER been on vacation and had a breakfast place “WIN” best meal. It is usually always a dinner place for me.
Not in San Fran.
We ate at a place called Mama’s on Washington Square and it was AMAZING! I mean beyond AMAZING!
So amazing, in fact, that the line to get in…
…was quite long.
They open at 8:00 am and we arrived at 8:04 am. The line was already wrapping the building. Being the impatient person I am, I just couldn’t understand how ANY restaurant could be worth a wait in a line like that. Especially a breakfast joint.
I am glad that Mama’s proved me wrong. The hour and fifteen minute wait outside in line…was worth every single last second. I probably would wait 2 hours if I had to go back. It was THAT good!
While in line, the chef offered us homemade banana nut bread and I think I could have just been satisified after that.
Wow! It was unbelievable.
Usually when you anticipate something for so long…it turns out not living up to your expectations. Usually.
But not at Mama’s.
My expectations were far exceeded!
J ordered 2 meals. Of course.
The Washington Square Omelette.
And French Toast.
For me…Eggs Benedict.
Mouth watering.
Let’s just say we both agreed that it was the most AMAZING breakfast place we had ever been to. We left very happy. And very FULL!
