Don’t be confused.
If it looks like P is trying to choke the elf in this picture you are seriously mistaken.
I’m pretty sure he was only trying to give him a “sqweezzze”. A loving one.
This elf is Sofie. Sofie is our elf from “Elf on the Shelf”.
No I did not choose the name.
P did.
Where he came up with Sofie for an elf’s name is beyond me.
*Side note: Yes I do realize that this post is about a Christmas elf. And yes I do realize that it is nearly March. Forgive me.
But P STILL finds the need to talk about Sofie.
He says he ‘misses him’. And yes. Apparently Sofie is a boys name to him?
You can see the bond they had was very deep…
And even though I have told P OVER AND OVER that Sofie had to fly back to the North Pole to be with Santa…not a week goes by that he doesn’t question me about where Sofie is.
He misses his buddy. But, fortunately, all I have to do is mention that CG needs his attention and it seems to make him forget Sofie for a few days.
Until he remembers…and then again…I get 20 questions.
I love 2 year olds and their inability to really comprehend much.

this was the year that my little one officially called bullsh*t on our elf(his name is ELFis)…still a fun tradition, hope it works longer for you

Our elf is Nick, because St. Nick brought him a couple of years ago. Now that the boys are non believers though Ethan saved my butt this year by moving Nick when I forgot one morning. Brooke was none the wiser. But I love the Elf on the Shelf concept. Wish I would have thought of that!
