My mother-in-law arrived last night from Las Vegas and I am so thankful to have another set of hands around here. Especially since I am trying to last minute prep for P’s 5th birthday party!
For some reason I haven’t been much in to party planning lately {remember how I completely did away with a first birthday hoopla for SJ?}. I use to get so excited for the party planning process, but these last few birthday’s I have just felt BLAH.
I decided to let P Man just invite a few friends over to swim for his birthday this year. He isn’t much in to the spotlight so keeping it small was crucial. When I hosted his 3rd birthday party with 75 people in attendance…he didn’t even come out of his bedroom. Yea, bad deal.
He gets anxiety in large crowd so we wanted to make sure that he doesn’t get too overwhelmed this year.
He wanted a swim party {of course} and he chose “SHARKS” as his theme. Well, if I am being honest he chose monkey’s as his theme, but I told him that swimming and monkey’s don’t really go together so he happily switched to sharks.
I ordered his invites from Nellie Design on etsy.
I also ordered a shark birthday printable package from her that is super cute!
Since the MIL is here I was able to head to Party City this morning and grab some…
…party supplies! Without kids. Uninterrupted. Glorious.
I still can’t believe that on Sunday we will be celebrating my baby’s FIFTH birthday.
