My maiden name is Bentley (love that you’re using it as a first name) and people could never find a way to shorten it when I was growing up. They never tried “Bents” though, that’s kind of cute!

My oldest is named Benjamin and I did NOT want him called Ben. When he was in preschool his teachers would call him Ben and it drove me crazy (and really irritated me when my MIL would write Ben when we never called him that). Well at some point I figured it was so much easier for him to write Ben than Benjamin and he has pretty much been Ben ever since. Not what I wanted when I named him, but that’s how it went.

Personally I like Bents, probably because I have a Cooper that we often call Coop or Coops.

I love Bents! Super cute! My hubby always gets called Beezer or just B. I for whatever reason got dubbed Snick when I was a tot. Brandon even calls me that now, hmmm!

I found your blog when I was searching google for the name Bentley bc I love that name too…so Ive been looking at your blog ever since! Your family is so cute! Im with you though, how do you really shorten the name? Ben…NO…Bent…not really a name…Benny…kinda weird…I dunno…I just love the name, dunno if id wanna shorten it actually.
