{Fashion Advice} What To Wear To A Blogging Conference

Have you ever bought a ticket to a blogging conference {say Blissdom perhaps?} and immediately thought….“What the heck am I suppose to wear to something like this?”

I was tired of having that same thought every time I started packing for my next conference.  So, because I love giving fashion advice {ahem – NOT!}…more like because I hate spending hours in my closet going “huh” when I pack for blogging conferences…I took pictures of everything I wore {and packed} when I attended my last conference {FINCON12} and decided to share a few of the outfit choices.

Hopefully this fashion advice will ease your packing dilemma!

These looks are also great fall choices if you are looking for some new fall wardrobe ideas.

I think it’s important to remember THREE things:

1. Be comfortable

2. Pack layers

3. Be comfortable

Oh, did I say be comfortable? Ha!

Yes, I am telling you, firsthand, that you will be walking A LOT and you will be on your feet A LOT. Mark my word. Pack the most comfortable shoes/boots that you own. You will not be sorry.

Sometimes it’s hard to know what the temperature will be like in the conference center/hotel so I always like to pack layers. That way I can layer up if I am cold or strip it down if I am hot.

Another quick tip, when you try on the outfit go ahead and take a self portrait so that you can look at the picture and see if you like the look or not. It always always always helps me determine if I approve of my selection!

 I was afraid I may look like a bumble-bee, but surprisingly I didn’t. I love that I would never normally put these colors together.

Blurry, but you get the point? This was actually my favorite look of all three.  Isn’t it fun when a look comes together?

I wore this as an evening event look. It’s slightly more dressy than the previous 2 looks.

I think all three of these looks are great choices for a blogging conference {or just a date night with the hubby}.

And don’t worry…I don’t think you should wear a dress EVERY day of the conference. I have more “What to Wear to a Blogging Conference” ideas coming soon {that don’t involve dresses}.
