Since P’s “word of the week” last week was DUCK, we decided to take him to the park and let him feed the ducks. He thought it was sooo funny! I would throw a piece of bread out there and the second the duck would snatch it up…he would bust out laughing. It was adorable! 
Once the bread was all gone…he took off running! Like, Peace Out mom. I guess I should have known what he was running to…….. 
…his favorite park event…swinging! 
I’m not really sure who was more excited to go to the park…..you see…daddy was VERY in to playing on the equipment. So in to it, that he got stuck in this metal tube. 
Truly, he did. It took at least 60 seconds for him to figure out how to get his legs unstuck. 
And do you see this picture…. 
P is observing as daddy and some random 5 year old have some monkey bar time. 
P tried to imitate them by hanging on the bar. He wants to be just like daddy. Lord help me!
P’s “word of the week” this week…SALSA. Not salsa dancing. Salsa, as in, the salsa you eat with tortilla chips. He LOVES to eat salsa. He even eats the hot salsa. It does lovely things to his diapers. Yet, he continues to beg me for salsa.

That’s so cute that you have a word-of-the-week. I’m studying (literally as I type this) early literacy/reading skills with children and you are doing everything right. Teach him the word… then show him the ducks! Perfect!
