Last week I had the chance to go out for a “girls night“…and it was amazing! Girls nights are pretty uncommon for me. Not just because I am surrounded by boys, but because moms with little ones often very rarely have “free” time. And when I do…I usually just want to sleep.
Honest truth.
Now that t-ball is over {for all of us}, we made it a priority to have a date night…ladies only.
I met all of these ladies at church and we have such a wonderful time together! We met for dinner and then went out for frozen yogurt! We closed down the Fro-Yo place and I am pretty sure that we could have stayed up talking for hours…until we all realized that we better get back to our kiddos and husbands.
You know men can barely function without the women. At least not for long.
Three out of the four of us blog and we had a wonderful time explaining to Amanda {the one who has no idea what “blog” even means} why we blog and how cool it is. She was very confused. Haha!
It was a much needed night and I’m hoping we can make it more of a habit!
This weekend was pretty low key, which was fine with me! Sometimes I need weekends of nothingness.
The boys even decided to get along…
…briefly. And I do mean briefly.
P Man was “reading” Bents some books. It was exceptionally cute. Although I will say that his book consisted of a lot of “poopy butt” and “stinky feet” talk. His made up version wasn’t quite appropriate for Bents’ age.
Didn’t last long anyway. Bents hit him over the head with the Cat in the Hat book shortly after this picture and all went to crap after that.
I think SJ is getting his molars because DANG…he was crabby yesterday.
Not like him at all. He is usually laid back and happy. I was praying for bedtime to come quick last night because absolutely nothing was making him happy.
The boys crack me up because they will BEG us to go to “Cwossfoot”. And I mean BEG. Something about watching people nearly pass out intrigues them. Ha!
Of course they insisted that they take their shirts off like all of the other men there.
I was just fortunate that they didn’t try and take their pants off. There was a brief moment when I thought Bents was about to drop his pants…but I quickly convinced him that “all the other men had their pants on so he must keep his on too.” Lucky for me, it worked.
I won’t be hosting Stop and Smell the Roses this week since Wednesday is July 4th! You can still film your vlog and just link it up next week if you want! I will be back with S&STR’s next week as usual.

Girls night out…I’m a little jealous. They are so hard to come by with one baby, I can’t imagine with three.
I was looking at your picture with Brit and kept thinking why does she look so familiar. Then I realized, I met her a few weeks ago in Knoxville at our bootcamp workouts. She’s so nice! Small world.

I had such a great night out with you ladies!! We seriously, have to make a better effort to get together like that more often!! We had a pretty low key weekend too! Nice to have a weekend without any plans, huh?!
p.s. the pic of the boys at crossfit without their shirts is PRICELESS!!

I love it! Your boys always make me laugh so hard. I told M the other day that I bet we’re going to be a boy house. I’m not sure why but I just have this feeling. I totally get the need for a girls night. I got to hang out with all the girls the other night and it was like a little three hour slice of heaven. So fun!
