Or so they say.
Lately I have been dealing with some defiant boys. I feel like I can’t leave the room for one second or someone’s going to punch someone.
They both want the SAME toy. The same sippy cup. The same spoon. The same spot on the couch.
And since I don’t have duplicates of everything in my house…it makes for a lot of wrestling matches. It’s exhausting.
Someone who is a boy mom please tell me it’s going to get better??? PLEASE! I just can’t even imagine how ugly it may get when SJ starts getting thrown in the mix.
Not to mention the attitude of my 4 year old is worse than a 16 year old girl. Blah. I am thinking he thinks every day is opposite day. It’s that bad. The amount of time that kid spends in time out is out of control.
I may need medication.
The only thing I want for Christmas…is PATIENCE. Something I don’t have much of. You better come through on that one Santa. It’s non-negotiable.

I am so right there with you! My boys are 4, 2 and 2. Yes, twins! They fight/argue constantly over everything! I can only imagine it will get worse and more violent as they get older….Lord help!
I saw a picture online of a Christmas card a mom did of her three boys. They had tape over their mouths with a caption that said something like, “Wishing you a Silent Night…ours will be!” 🙂

My boys are 13 and 10 and I wish I could tell you they get along beautifully but….. I have learned to appreciate the moments when they are actually getting along, even if it means being a little more rambunctious in the house than I would like. My only advice is when you’ve run out of patience call me and we’ll go have a drink. Lol

Welcome to my world! Too bad you don’t like wine… it helps, once they are in bed of course! Boys are just wired that way… they are hands on everything… ALWAYS!

I think I may be having a boy (we find out in 2 weeks), so it should be interesting! If our son is anything like my husband, I’ll be worried because my husband got into all sorts of danger when he was a kid! Boys seems to think of the fun aspect of things and not what the outcome may be i.e.: broken bones, blown up mailboxes, angry neighbors etc. Haha.

YES. My boys are almost 5 and almost 2. So YES. I feel ya, sister. My dream home would have a padded & sound proof room. Battle it out, boys. Just leave Mama out of it.

This post cracks me up! My almost 3 year old is TROUBLE and I have a feeling my 7 month old (boy) is also going to be big time trouble. I can only imagine that in 2 years from now I will be writing a similar post.

Our son is 5 (almost 6) and he has settled way down on the dramatics. He was always a very hyperactive toddler and has not slowed down since. It is crazy the non stop energy he has all.day.long. 4 (so far) was the absolute worst age with the drama, not listening, screaming, etc. It is also the age when our daughter was born and now that she is almost two they act the same way your boys do. They fight, wrestle, and scream. It is a constant referee job!
Good luck!

I have seven brothers, all one year apart. Bless my patents heart they can only handle so much. SO I got the feel of what your going thru right now. The oldest is 19 and isn’t a problem now but oh he sure was. I thank God everyday that he grew up and thinks with his brains right now. The other of course are more or less 13, 12, 10, 8, 6, 3. Oh they are just trouble. In the long run it pays off thought, be strong and i tell yah you do need the patience all you can ever have.. My aunt has all 10 boys- oh she had everything you can think of.. Age range from 29 to 16 now. They are fighter fighters, one is an emt , surgeon, RN. They help with everything and anything- they cook, clean oh… and still fight, and do all sorts of things. Keep it up, all I can say is you’re doing great. Drinks won’t help cuz you will wake up to the same thing the next day… you can get very addicted to it since you have to deal with that for about 10 more years. lol:) and we don’t want that…. Good luck..

My boyfriend has two boys and Thanksgiving morning was spent in the ER. The oldest broke his ankle wrestling with his brother after being told repeatedly to stop before someone gets hurt.
Obviously I was right.
I think we both have another 10 years of this.
