Do you ever give your kids a hodge podge of stuff for breakfast? Tell me you do. Even if you don’t…please…tell me I am not the only one.
Bents is a picky eater just like his older brother. He is also very very very dead set on what HE wants. If you don’t let him choose his breakfast, then you should probably just accept that he will throw it to the dog. Because 10 times out of 10…if it’s not on HIS terms then he will not eat it!
On this particular morning he picked out jello and 100 calorie oreo bites. Hmmmm. That doesn’t seem appropriate for breakfast. But, again, sometimes (to avoid the disaster) you have to just go with it. I tried to add in apples and turkey bacon. The mom in me wanted to him to have some fruit and protein. 
As you can see, he didn’t care much for the apples but he licked the caramel clean. Fail.
I will at least say this…breakfast was pleasant. He was happy. No one cried. That gets some points…in my book.
Awww he is such a cutie! Your whole family is.
Anyway, I wish I could quell your fears by telling you my kids are the same way, but alas, I do not have any children of my own.
HOWEVER, maybe you’ll feel better knowing that the kids I used to watch full-time would pick the peas out of their macaroni-and-peas and eat only the cheesy macaroni. Same goes for any other dish. haha

He is so dang cute. And wow I can just imagine how strong willed he is from reading your posts. I also have a strong willed little one but luckily she is not a picky eater at all. Most mornings we just have oatmeal. :/
You crack me up all of the time :). My kids eat the most random things EVER. Let’s see…. leftover pizza for bfast is a HUGE favorite, clam chowder (ew!!!!), chili…. all weird, but hey, if their little bellies are full, it’s all good, right???? You are a great Mommy and that pic of Bents is just the cutest, most hilarious thing EVER!!!!

oh girl, i have no children of my own, but i’ll give you the blanket advice that works for most situations: sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. 🙂 i’m sure he’ll grow up (just like we all did) and realize it never really mattered.
