Is it 2011 and I am just now recapping Christmas?
Well, yes, yes it is. But…for documentation sake (and if my hubby decides to have House of Rose 2010 printed in a book like he did 2008 and 2009) I MUST recap our best Christmas yet!
I knew THREE was going to be a fun age for Christmas…but honestly…it was MORE fun than I even imagined! Of course, Bents was fun too…in his own little “I could care less about presents” kind of way. 🙂
We started by baking cookies for santa and leaving him a note that read:
“Dear Santa,
I’ve been a good boy & so has bubby’s (just ask Sofie). *Sofie is our Elf on the Shelf* I would like Legos, a truck, trains, cars, and games! Please enjoy the cookies & milk.
We knew santa was going to feel right at home when he got to our neck of the woods. It was almost as snowy as the North Pole. Almost.
P was being his usual funny self on Christmas Eve.Performing on the kitchen counter.
His “stage”…as I call it.I can not tell you HOW excited he was this year. And the best part…he knew santa was coming…but he also knew it was a day to celebrate the birth of Jesus! The most important part of all!
They had matching jams for Christmas morning.
Santa was a “nice santa” according to P and what he saw under the tree.
Bents was interested in the gifts for about 2.5 seconds.
Then he was more interested in chewing on my camera lense cap (as noted in the background). Easy to please. Easy to please.
Somehow santa must have flown to Las Vegas and stole this choo choo set from Gma Lilly because it ended up under our tree. Hmmmm. Sneaky Santa. And I am pretty sure that daddy and papa hated the santa that dropped off this gift. Ahem. Not me. I think it took them over an hour to put it together. Seriously the box said 3-5 years. But, I am pretty sure it meant 3-5 years of college education because there is no way that a 3, 4, or 5 year old could figure this thing out. Not a chance.
In even better news…it was only up for about 36 hours before P knocked it all down. I am pretty sure NO ONE will ever attempt at putting it back together the correct way.
Just loving on Gigi a little. After all, her and papa were pretty darn generous to the boys this year.
A little loving for mommy.Right after his “no I did not just spill the whole box of puffs on the carpet” episode. I love his face…like uh-oh.
“Who me? You pointing at me? I didn’t spill those puffs.”
And even if I did. How could you be mad at his cute face?
We had such a great Christmas this year. I can hardly believe next year will consist of 3 boys. I am running out of boy toys to buy. We have them all! The third baby is gonna be out of luck!

I am reading through your old posts and just got to this one. I laughed at your comment regarding running out of things to buy with 3 boys. I have 2 boys and had such a hard time buying for my second one this year. I was actually planning to ask you if you had any suggestions since you have 3!
