*UPDATE: J made it to his CNBC meeting, an hour late, but nonetheless, he made it! It went really well!!! No details yet, but I promise to post when we know more. For those of you who are wondering if we will have to move to the big city….no worries….this will just be a one time thing for now and possibly something he could do on a reoccurring basis (but not “move to the city” basis). By the way, a ONE WAY cab ride from Laguardia airport to then CNBC studio cost $83 (plus $18 for the tolls)! HOLY CRAP! And that….is why I would NEVER move to the big city (amoung MANY more reasons). 🙂

J is going Hollywood:
We hadn’t been home from my grandma’s for more than 7 hours and J had to head out the door for his big trip to NY to meet with one of the executive producer’s at CNBC! You probably remember me mentioning that he was contacted by them over a month ago about being a contributor on one of their show’s….well….his first meeting with them is finally here!! The show is called “On the Money” and it aires during the week at 9 pm.
The not so good news is this:
His flight was suppose to leave at 8 am and it got cancelled. Then the second flight he was put on got delayed TWICE! He didn’t end up leaving STL airport until 12:30 pm. His meeting was in New Jersey at 3:00 pm. Yea, do the math. He’s not gonna make it.
Last I heard, his contact at CNBC was checking with the executive producer to see how late they were there. I am hoping when he lands….I get good news that the meeting can still go on. If he does still get to meet with them today then most likely he won’t catch his evening flight back home which means he will have to wait until the am to come home. 🙁
Here is all I care about:
1. That his plane doesn’t end up in the Hudson. Although, I’d rather him go swimming in the Hudson then to burn up on the pavement. (Did I ever mention I am terrified of flying??? Hence, my negativity)
2. That he can somehow still meet with the executive producer of CNBC
3. The meeting goes well and they LOVE him (which I know they will).
I’ll keep you posted…….

HOORAY!!! I cannot wait to hear all about it!!!! Also, just a word to the wise- I’m not sure what route J’s taxi driver took him, but I’ve never paid more than $30 and around $5 in tolls to get from LaGuardia to Manhattan (even during Friday afternoon rush hour getting off the island).
Hope your fam is having a great week!
xoxo,
Lulu
