If you are following me on social media then you know that day 2 did not end as planned. I knew this trip would bring adventure, but never did I think it would bring an ER visit.

Around 8:00 pm Bents slammed his thumb in the double RV doors. It wasn’t just smashed…it was flattened. He got it stuck on the side with the hinges and I could get one of the doors open, but the screen door was stuck!

Ahhhh! I panicked.

Jeff had the other two boys at the park and so I literally started freaking out. Luckily, after a couple minutes I was able to free the door and his thumb.

But it wasn’t pretty. We decided to find the closest Emergency Room in Oklahoma because we were almost certain it was broke and I knew I wouldn’t be able to go without knowing for sure.

You can imagine the looks we got when we pulled up to the ER in the RV. Haha. That’s a first for me.

But after we found out from the x-rays that it wasn’t broken (just bruised and swollen badly), and his pain had subsided…Bents thought it was pretty big time being picked up by the RV. I’m so proud of how brave this lil guy was! Seriously…such a trooper!

Parker and I recorded our Day 2 update BEFORE the drama of the day. I love how I specifically say “No one got hurt!”

I’m sure my recap of this day would have been different a few hours later.

Ohhhh the adventures we are already having. Tell me Day 3 will be better?
