Just when I thought things couldn’t get worse…Jeff Rose asked me to drive.
Dun dun dun.
I said yes, mostly because I wanted to see what this bad boy felt like behind the wheel. You’ll have to watch our video update to see what my conclusion was.
We drove from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Flagstaff, Arizona today. We made a drive through The Petrified Forest, which was about 40 miles out of our way, but so worth it. The pictures I got to take were breath taking.
We even randomly stopped to see a GIANT meteor crater (I’ll include those pics in Day 6). I was skeptical, but it was fairly interesting. But again, confirmed to me that I need to buy the boys leashes.
I’ve been an ehhhhhh mood ever since the news about my laptop. My hard drive on my Macbook Pro died on me. BOO!!!! Which means doing my daily updates is 10x harder and I REALLY loved posting our daily adventures because, as much as I complain about this trip, I don’t want to forget this adventure and all the fun and not-so-fun things we encounter! I’m still gonna find a way to continue my updates…they just might contain less pictures. Sad face.
Day 5 – Flagstaff, Arizona
Just in case you wanted to witness Jeff Rose emptying our pooper. Here you go. Earlier in the day he asked me, “Did you bring a bathrobe?” I responded with, “No, why?” And he says, “Because I really wanted to wear a bath robe when I emptied our sewer line.” #cousineddie

Mandy, I noticed you said in your video that you’ve smelled sewer for 5 days. Have you put any TST in the tanks? You can buy it at Walmart or any camper supply store. You just pour it into the tanks (via toilet and drains) and it deodorizes. It works really well. I like orange but some say they like the others better. Its fairly cheap and will help a lot! Good luck! I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip!

We do have those!! Forgot the camper guy gave them to us and started using them on day 6. LOL! Smells much better!

Love the video updates! They were a great idea.
Petrified Forest is one of my favorite places ever!! Absolutely gorgeous and I LOVE fossils, petrified wood and petroglyphs, so I loved that place.
Glad you got to experience it!
