It’s been 8 days. I can officially claim that we are on our way back towards home!
After seeing the Grand Canyon yesterday…it changed my perspective on this trip! I’m actually starting to enjoy this camping thing. Ha! All parts except the ones where we have to try and go to sleep at night. It’s like a giant giggle fest in the top bunk and there are 3 little rowdy boys who never want to shut their eyes.
Last night they got in so much trouble that we told them one of them was gonna have to sleep on the floor (ewwwww!). About 20 seconds later we heard them playing rock-paper-scissors to see who had to do it. LOL!
We didn’t actually make anyone sleep on the floor. I couldn’t. This floor is NASTY. So the giggling continued until around midnight.
Our initial plan was to stay in Grand Canyon Village a few nights, but honestly…other than seeing the amazingly beautiful Grand Canyon? There’s not much else to do. So…we changed our plans and decided we would take a different route to get home…one that is longer, but will allow us to see different stuff than what we saw on the way here.
Today we stopped at Four Corners Monument…and we all got to experience being in 4 states at ONE time. We were in Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Colorado today at 2:30 PM.
We ended up in Colorado tonight!
