The first date that I ever took Mandy on was to a place that is known for its “all you can eat fried chicken”.
Keeping it classy, huh?
Thankfully I impressed her enough that she agreed to go out on a second date with me. 🙂
If there’s one thing we love to do together, it’s eating out.
We love to try new restaurants (which is tough in Southern Illinois).
There’s something nice about getting dressed up and having nice adult conversation with your spouse.
When Life Gets in The Way
But going on dates gets tougher when you have you kids. We can both remember that we didn’t go out to eat as a couple for almost a year when we had our first son.
Now with three boys its even more hectic in our household and going on dates is that much more crucial.
It’s crucial to keep our sanity and crucial to keep the romance alive in our marriage.
We strive to get at least one date night per week. Although it doesn’t always work out that way because of that crazy thing called “life”, we’ll make it a priority the following week.
Bottom line is make dating your spouse a priority.
