I have had a few of you ask me how I do my eye makeup and what products I am using so I thought it would be fun to film a tutorial!
You notice that I look for any excuse to vlog? Ha!
Trust me…I did not film this with the misconception that I am a professional makeup artist. I assure you I am far from thinking that about myself. In fact, this has been the hardest vlog for me to film to date.
Why? Because I usually talk about my kids, decorating and things I’m thankful for. Not about makeup. Makeup lingo is kind of an acquired language. And lets just say I have not acquired it.
I’m just a mom who likes to look “put together”. Being the fact that I don’t have TONS of time in the mornings I like to keep my makeup routine fairly simplistic and EASY.
Moms like easy.
Moms thrive when things are easy.
We have it hard enough when we are trying to wipe poopy butts and keep our children from making our living room look like a WWE match.
So I promise you my eye makeup routine is easy.
Here are the products that I use on my eyes on a daily basis:

I use a mixture of brushes. My favorite eye makeup brushes came from Sephora.
Color – Blacktrack
Clinique Lash Doubling Mascara
Color – Black
I realized after doing this tutorial that most people don’t put their eye liner on before their shadow. I’m not claiming that my way is the right way…it most likely is not! 🙂 But, it works for my daily routine.
If you want advice from a professional…then you should probably jump over to Beauty Broadcast and listen to Emily! She has the makeup lingo (and the skills). Not to mention I am slightly obsessed with her makeup tips!
And your in luck…because Tonya from Love of Family and Home is sharing a hair tutorial today on her blog! Y’all have seen her hair right? Ok, well I’ve seen it in person and it’s even cuter in person. It’s tempting me to cut my hair again. Go check out how she styles her hair!
Love the way you edited that tutorial!! It was great to hear you talking about your routine/products, but also to see you cut to doing each step. Your eyes always look great, BTW! And, I also love watching Emily’s YouTube channel. It’s definitely opened me up to more products than I would have been willing to try on my own!
First off – you look awesome without makeup on! Great tutorial. I will have to give it a try. I typically just do shadow and mascara but have been wanting to try eyeliner too.
Thanks for sharing!
AWESOME job editing the video – and I am a MAC girl all the way too! 🙂
This was great! I’m going to have to try the MAC liner. I’ve used a potted Clinique before, but now use Merle Norman’s pencil. I too love Clinique mascara… high impact is my favorite!
Gorgeous!!!! Thank you soooo much or this! I’m always looking for fun new ways to do my eye make up!! Xoxo
Great job Mama!! I am also LOVING that lash doubling mascara from Clinique! It is by far the best mascara I have ever tried!! So glad my sister gave me that sample!! I am so buying a full-size one as soon as my sample runs out!!
Thanks so much for sharing. I usually don’t have a lot of time to do makeup so I am glad that yours is so quick. I am looking for eyeshadow brushes now so it will be easier to use than those little spongy stick things.
My laptop is being crazy and won’t load the rest of the video – so I’m smack dab in the middle of it, but I need to hit the hay early tonight! Will finish watching it tomorrow. 🙂 Just gotta say… You are SO beautiful girl! Seriously! So much natural beauty! Have an amazing night! XO!

Great video Mandy! I can’t wait to try your routine. I am a MAC girl too but surprisingly don ‘t own any of those colors. Off to make a on-line purchase!!!
Hope you are having a great weekend!
Love it, love it, love it! Great tutorial. I usually use pencil liners, but now I’m thinking about switching to brushes. Thanks, Mandy.

I am SO behind!! I have been waiting to see this post, haha!! I do not wear a lot of makeup and just started doing more on my eyes just several months ago! 😉 You look so pretty (with and without makeup!)!
Looks great! I love your lip color – what is it? I have dark hair, dark brown eyes, and fair skin and I’m always looking for new lip colors (I like light, barely there color). Thanks!
