Hubby and I rented a car in San Diego…and took off on a road trip adventure to LA! Thank goodness we had a GPS…and a half knowledgeable ex-resident of the city…because I WAS LOST!

J use to live in LA so we had A LOT of things he wanted to do and places he wanted to see. 

Our first stop was Steve’s place. Steve is J’s best friend that lives in LA (he was the best man in our wedding). He literally lives in the Hollywood Hills…like 2 seconds from Hollywood Blvd. CRAZY!

This is the roof top pool on his apartment building. It must really suck living there. ahem.

Then we headed to the Groves mall…where we just so happen to spot Charlie O’Connell! You do know who he is don’t you? The Bachelor…season 7…Jerry O’Connell’s brother. Some people may not care about him…but I was FULLY obsessed with The Bachelor season 7. Well, any season of The Bachelor really. 🙂

We also walked down Robertson (sp?) Street…apparently this is where celebrity’s are always spotted shopping or eating at the Ivy. And the store you see behind Steve….Kitson…is where LC from The Hills is always at!

*side note: yes ladies…Steve is single…

It didn’t take long and we spotted the paparazzi. They were hanging outside a store waiting on the Pussy Cat Dolls to exit! I just so happen to pop in the store where they were shopping.

It was just like you see on tv…they were basically bombarding her with camera’s and following her for blocks. I felt so sorry for her!

Steve is a producer for KTLA (the local LA news station)…so he took us to a live taping of the show. It was really neat! Totally not anything like News 3 here in Carterville. haha! Not to mention these news reporters are making half a million! Wouldn’t that be nice Kevin Hunsperger?

On Saturday we went to visit J’s old house. We couldn’t really see much because it was gated…but he held me up over the fence so I could at least get a glimpse.

And of course, we “had” to eat at Jerry’s Deli.

J and I drove out to Malibu….because…honestly….with a view like this…

….how could you not.

That night is when we went to the Kings of Leon concert at the LA Forum. Remember, here, where I posted about seeing Miley Cyrus? She was in a gated area about 10 feet from us. But the best part is, I found out after the concert that Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel, Orlando Bloom, Leanne Rhymes, Leonna Lewis, Amanda Bynes, and Anna Ferris were all in that same cage! WHAT? How did I miss that? I guess I was so focused on Miley that I didn’t even look for anyone else.

I can also now say…I LOVE KINGS OF LEON!! THEY ARE AMAZING!

Overall, the LA trip was fun…but it was jammed packed with things to do…so I’m not gonna lie…I liked San Diego better just because it was more relaxing.
