I would like to pretend that our weekends consist of these BIG huge FUN eventful things, but when you have 3 small kiddos, eventful is defined as cleaning poo poo off the toilet after your toddler (trying to be a big boy) decides that he is going to go to the bathroom independently.
That’s about as eventful as it gets.
We are always looking for fun projects to do in our pajamas on the weekends. Usually on Friday nights.
While I was at Walmart I picked up the “Instant Farm” capsules. They were 99 cents. When I told the boys that I had a surprise project for them, they couldn’t climb up to the kitchen counter fast enough.
All you do is fill a cup up with warm/hot water….and drop the capsule in to the water.
Bents preferred to submerge his capsule. Either way, the point is to put the capsule in the water.
And then watch….
…and wait…
…and wait some more.
Until, B-A-M…you have a farm animal.
Even daddy wanted in on the fun.
They boys were so excited to see which farm animal would appear after they dropped the capsule in the water.
When you drop the capsule in it looks like this:
After about 30 seconds it looks like this:
I am here to tell you that these cute little farm animals kept my kids happy for at least an hour. We have train capsules that we are going to do next!
*You can find these at Wal-mart in the toy section.

Where these in the toy section at Wal-Mart? I have never seen them and was looking for something else small to put in my nephews’ Easter baskets!

Someone gave us some of these in a little gift bag last Christmas and I got really excited to do it with Jayden while Jackson was napping. We dropped one capsule in and it took almost an hour to turn into a truck. We gave up after that! Haha! Now I’m wondering if maybe the water was too cold? We’ll have to try again. 🙂

I bought a whole bunch of these last year from Michael’s & used them for stocking stuffers. They are pretty nifty!

This is great. These are my girls favorite kinds of novelty toys. We normally grow castles, princesses, and frogs. So girly, right? This week for science class we will actually be doing this as an experiment with Gummy Bears. I’ll share it when we’re done. Bella is pretty excited. Surely it’s because she gets to play with Gummy Bears and thinks she’ll be eating most of them. LOL
