First off, I just want to say that we woke up this morning to 2 landscaping trucks in front of our house! I know your probably wondering why that excites the h*** out of us, but if you could see the mud surrounding our pool…you would be jumping for joy too! Justin from Cedar Hill Landscape Design pleasantly surprised us this morning and is going to get our landscaping started RIGHT NOW! GAWD, I knew I loved those boys! We originally thought it may be a few weeks before he could get to us, but some things opened up, and he was able to squeeze us in sooner!
I am very thankful because my poor husband has been working his butt off cleaning the pool every night. With all the mud and dust…it just blows right in our pool!
Here is the design that Justin created for us! I think it’s going to be AMAZING!
And GOODBYE MUD!
Despite all the mud, we still decided to have some friends over for a pool party this weekend! Minus the mud, it was a great time! And I think I may have been the only one concerned with the dirt situation. Everyone else seemed to be enjoying themselves just fine.
Including SJ, who barely moved the entire day. I think he likes the outdoors! We had him in his bouncy seat on the covered patio the whole time and he didn’t make a peep! What a good boy!
P Man wearing daddy’s goggles. He kept saying, “mommy, mommy the sky is puwple. It’s puwple mommy.” Oh the things that entertain 4 year olds.
We even let wild man try out the pool for a bit. I say “a bit” because he was a little TOO wild by the pool. Life jacket and all he almost gave me a heart attack a few times. So, he mostly stayed on the patio and played in the water table. I didn’t catch a picture, so his after swimming jammie glow will have to do!
As for me, I am enjoying getting my body back. But, I still got a ways to go! I need to lose about 10 more lbs. But, it’s kinda fun not lugging around a big ole belly!
I can’t really get in the pool just yet. My husband doesn’t understand why I don’t want to wear a bathing suit. I gave him my 3 reasons:
1. Flabby post-pregnancy belly
2. Giant pad that is close to the size of a diaper that I still have to wear
3. My boobs are leaking milk
That’s hot, right? But it’s true. I won’t be getting in the pool until at least number 2 has gone away.
Actually, I won’t be getting in the pool at least for the next 2 weeks because I am about to have surgery on my finger tomorrow. I have a huge cyst that has to be surgically removed. I will have quite a few stitches and be banned from the water for a good 14 days. Please say a little prayer for me if you remember. I am quite nervous about having to have it removed. And even more nervous on how I am going to care for 3 small kids with one functioning hand.
If I can pull it off, I may deserve mother of the year! Just sayin’.

Mandy, Ummm, you look fantastic? Are you SURE you just gave birth, because I don’t believe you… lol and I’ll say a prayer for a fast recovery after your surgery tomorrow! You seriously have a LOT going on…
Amanda, I’m sorry to say it doesn’t end after birth. It’s like the longest period ever after the baby is born, and I’m going to leave it at that, I’m sure Mandy can fill you in with the details ๐
