I give myself an A+ at capturing memories with my camera or phone.
I give myself a big fat F for taking the time to actually BLOG these wonderful memories I am capturing. Gah.
Part of it is because I absolutely love photography.
Taking pictures, capturing real life moments, editing images… all of it… I adore.
But writing is one of those things that I have to be “in the mood for”.
I don’t always have things to say (shocking, I know), especially to those of you who know me in person and know how talkative I am.
Ahem.
I can picture my husband smirking right now when reading the above sentence about me not always having something to say. Ha!
He’d disagree I am sure.
Halloween is one of those memories I want to look back on and remember when they dressed up as football players and Superman.
It was rather hilarious that our oldest son chose to be Matt Stafford.
- I had no idea who that even was. Which isn’t saying much because I am not the best when it comes to rattling off the names of NFL players, but still. Matt Stafford who?
- According to my husband, Stafford is a 2nd or 3rd string quarterback for the Detroit Lions and we didn’t even know Parker liked the Detroit Lions. I guess it goes to show we don’t know much.
I thought it was sweet that he wanted to be someone like Stafford because honestly, it goes to show that you can be who you truly want not just who everyone else likes or wants you to be.
I told him “Go for it!”
Jeff was more like, “Ummmm, really buddy? Matt Stafford?”
Bahahaha.
Bents chose the more popular route and went with Aaron Rodgers.
I will say he got way more high fives from the people handing out candy.
And little mister SJ, he had no clue what he was going to be until the day of.
Mainly because for him? Every day is Halloween.
He literally dresses up in costumes on the daily. We don’t usually go anywhere if we aren’t in costume. Ha!
Some days it’s Superman, some days it’s Spiderman, some days it’s Captain America… you really just never know.
What I do know is that he woke up on Halloween morning telling me, “I vant to be a futbowl pwayer.”
The one costume I did not have for him. Awesome.
Luckily, like any normal four year old… he had changed his mind by trick or treating time and it was back to being Superman. #crisisdiverted
Is it ironic that right before I typed this post I decorated the Christmas tree?
Who says I’m behind. Psssst. Whatevs.
Merry Halloween! Or Happy Christmas.

Your photos are amazing !! Love that the boys are football players for Halloween ! We love football in our home and I think all three of my boys went as football players too when they were younger. Now two of the three play football at the college level !

Matt Stafford is actually the first string quarterback for the Lions, has been for years, but they suck so bad it’s in question why he isn’t a 2nd or 3rd string;)

I still find it funny your oldest chose to be Stafford! He is actually the Lion’s main quarterback. :). I was hoping your son knew something we didn’t and that Stafford would start rocking it on the field. ;).

It seems that you enjoyed this day with the kids. Of course, you did a great shot here. Some are candid shot but that makes it more beautiful and special. I’m sure you have a great Halloween celebration. And since Holiday season is coming, you’ll definitely have a blast celebrating it especially you have a wonderful family to celebrate it with.
