It never fails, as soon as we open the pool…the boys want to be in it.
It doesn’t matter what the water temperature is, what the outdoor temperature is, whether the sun is shining or the rain is pouring or whether it’s even been cleaned…they will argue “you should let us swimmmmmmm!” until I finally say yes.
I want to say that the water temp was hardly 60-ish degrees the day they got in. Yea, brrrrrr.
I need the water to be like 90 before I like it. Ha!
I will say though that I am so ecstatic that it’s finally pool season. My sanity is tested during winter months when the boys have to stay inside all the time.
They go stir crazy.
You probably hear a lot of moms who say that, but for real y’all, it’s a “thing”.
And it’s a “thing” that can make a mom question why she thought having kids was a good idea. LOL!
It also means my house will be cleaner (less kids inside), less things will be broken (no more indoor dodgeball) and kids will fall asleep at bedtime faster (because swimming and sun will wear them out).
I live for summer days.

Yay for pools! I wish we had a pool (or know someone who did). We can’t until the weather actually stays warm so we can just be outside. 🙂
I’m really going to miss our pool this year. We lost ours in a tornado a couple years ago and I haven’t been able to convince my hubby to replace it. Maybe someday. Instead my girls will be hanging out all summer in the largest inflatable pool I can find. LOL

Oh how I live for those summer days. Can’t wait for the day we get our own pool, but for now we crash my parents. Just signed the boys up for swim classes. Now we just need this Ohio weather to warm up for more than one day.
