Getting beat up by a 1.5 year old is not cool. But very common at our house.
Bents can be a monster. I like to call him “happy mean”.
You know. Happy. But mean.
Although it may look like he is trying to resuscitate his brother in this picture, I can promise you he is not trying to give P CPR.
Probably more like trying to karate chop him. He WILL tackle you if you aren’t careful.
Unfortunately he hasn’t learned the word NO yet. Actually, he knows what it means. He just chooses not to obey it.
I hear this is called “middle child syndrome”.
When he’s bad, he does a lot of hiding from me. Including, but not limited to, hiding in the kitchen cabinets.
Which is not near as bad as him hiding in my closet. Most of the time when he goes “missing to the closet”…the clothes end up missing from the hangers.
He’s a real sneaky dude.
One thing I have grown to love about him….he tries to be just like his older brother. Too bad the only sunglasses we could find around the house for him were pink ones (sorry Brooke).
If he’s not in jail by 18 I’ll be lucky.

What a sweetie pie! I think my fav. photo was the one of him smiling sweetly & your mom said that was taken right after he threw the shovel @ her.

Your little sweet pie looks very cute on that pink sunglasses! It’s such a delight to record their lovely moment.

Oh that Bents :). He reminds me SO MUCH of my third child (but middle boy) D.A. D.A. is WILD AND CRAZY and the typical middle child syndrome victim – and he is now 6 years old and shows no signs of letting up. I used to see boys like my D.A. and think (PRIVATELY IN MY HEAD), hmmmm, what is wrong with his mother? Now, I have D.A., and I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND IT :). However, D.A. is the reason for so much of the joy in our house – seriously, everyone waits for the latest and greatest D.A. story. He is so much fun. Just like your sweet Bents. Also, my D.A. wants to be exactly like his big brother, Peter – and Peter is 9 going on 90, a sweet little old man that lets D.A. just beat on him :).
So – in summary – I love reading these stories and can tell you that I completely relate! Also, I am waiting to see how my third son turns out in relation to the other two – I am sure you’re holding your breath with SJ :).
(My daughter is 19 and just left for college, and she was just a baby yesterday, I swear, so I keep trying to think of that when D.A. exasperates me :).
Have a great day!!!!
