Our master bath shower has probably been one of the most stressful pieces of our house for me so far. Ok. Not probably. But definitely.
I never knew a custom shower could be so complicated. But trust me. It CAN! And it was!
First it was trying to figure out the custom shower system (shower head, spray jets, etc.). Then…where do you want to place them. To…what tile and pattern to use. To…the glass doors. And how to seal it so it doesn’t leak.
*SCREAM”
Custom showers are crazy.
Anyway, after all the stress, the master piece is coming together! My dad has been the one to do all of the labor (how lucky am I?) and he is doing a MORE THAN FANTASTIC job! He should definitely be proud when this thing is finished!
So…because I couldn’t help but show you the progress…here is what we have so far.
It is still not completely done. Obviously the glass wall and doors are not installed and there is still no grout.
Plus, it looks pretty dirty in these pics. But I couldn’t help it. I had to show you! I LOVE IT SO FAR!
It’s massive! It has taken a good long week for my dad to get it this perfect…and it is PERFECT!
He commented yesterday and said “you better have fun in this shower”….
ahem.
Dad, SHHHHH! That is inappropriate. But I ASSURE you…FUN will be had in the shower! 🙂
Plus, they have started hanging our lights!! It’s hard to see, but here is our entry way light! This was my $900 light that I got for $150, REMEMBER? I think it turned out good!
I have been having some minor contractions all day today. Nothing regular. But, definitely enough to get me nervous. And last night I felt like I had the flu. YUK! But, the night before I went in to labor with P I felt like I had the flu. I’m scared to go to bed tonight. haha!
My husband is FREAKING out! It’s like he JUST realized we were having a baby??? HELLO. What did he think was going to happen at the end of the nine months? Apparently, he forgot that being pregnant equals having a newborn. What a reality check. haha!
Ok, I’m not gonna lie. I am kinda freaking too. Mostly because I’m not prepared. I don’t even have the car seat unpacked from the garage and up until today….I had NO DIAPERS. My girls from work, who are SUPER FANTASTIC by the way, knew I may go in to labor soon (unprepared) and they gave me the nicest (and BIGGEST) basket of goodies today at lunch. Thank goodness for wonderful friends! It contained TONS of stuff…and most importantly…3 huge things of diapers. Aren’t they great?
So that eased my nerves a little. But still….I’m thinking this baby is coming soon. VERY soon. Holy cow I’m about to have 2 kids.

I’m sure you’ll just slide right into it with ease! My husband freaked out at the last minute with our son – I was the same way – like, what did you think was gonna happen after nine months?
