It’s true, I love ANYTHING designed with roses. It sounds corny and kinda stupid actually. I never really cared about roses before I got married.
In fact, they weren’t even my favorite flower. I much preferred lillies.
But, now, NOW that my last name is Rose….I have officially landed in crazy-ROSE-town.
And it’s slightly out of control.
I have been obsessive over buying things “just” because they had roses on it.
I bought this wall art at Home Goods while we were in Hilton Head on vacation. Yes, I love to home decor shop even when we are on vacation.
Just last week I bought these TWO different wall art pieces at Target.
My newest rose decoration? A scentsy warmer from my friend Kelly.
Ahhhh, don’t you love this? Only if your last name is rose. Or your favorite flowers are roses. But still. I love it.
What is my deal people?? Will I snap out of this phase soon? If you come over and every inch of my home is decorated in roses please don’t hesitate to tell me I’m on the crazy train.
And really, if you ever want to send me flowers….you won’t need any suggestions. Ahem.
Switching topics, I just want to admit that I am so indecisive when it comes to my blog post format. I can’t decide it I like my text centered or left-align. I’m losing sleep over it. Isn’t that almost as dumb as me being obsessed with roses? Don’t answer that.
But do answer this…
Do you like it when I center my text or leave it left-align? Which is easier to read? PLEASE help me end this blog format battle in my head.
I think I need medication.

OMG I have ADD over my text format too! And picture placement! It’s bananas! I like the way this post is, left align. That’s what I’ve been preferring on my blog too. Seems…cleaner? No?
Carrie A. says
Love your scentsy warmer! I like text left-aligned, especially since you have several sentences in a row.
Nicole says
I vote center.. But in all honesty I never (personally) really may much attention to the justifivation lol.
Love your blog! Find myself returning multiple times a day..
Writing a blog = cool and interesting
Checking a blog several times in one day = loser and needs a life? Lol
Mandy says
Haha! This cracked me up! Thanks for being a loyal reader! I would never consider you a loser….I have tons of blogs I stalk! ๐ LOL!
Roni says
Left aligned is so much easier to read, but I like centered. It just looks prettier. I always center text over at HomePayge blog UNLESS it contains a bulleted or numbered list, because then it just looks weird!
Mallory says
AHHH! I have the same problem! I can never decide. I don’t even know which I like better anymore.
I’ve tried centering pictures, left align text, or centering text and pictures but if I’m making a list I left align…I can’t decide.
Help!
hehe
Tonya @ Love of Family & Home says
Let me know what the consensus is on this topic! I struggle with the same thing! I find myself going back & forth all the time!! GAH!!
p.s. I love the rose decor you found at Target! Very pretty!
Karen Blount says
Left Align text is MUCH easier to read. That’s what I vote for.
Erin says
So I have never commented (yes, I’m a lurker. Sorry!) but I have read almost every post. For whatever reason, your text alignment is what prompted me to speak up. Weird, I know.
ANYWAY, please do not center the text. It is so hard to read that way! Keep it to the left please!
Mandy says
Thanks for your input Erin and so glad you spoke up! ๐

Love this post! And I can SO relate! Since marrying my husband 10 years ago I’ve become obsessed with all things star-related! ๐
darci says
Okay, too funny because no kidding, last night I changed my scheduled blog post about 7 times going back and forth from centered to left aligned. It drives me crazy….. everything must be “just so” and perfectly proportionate for me and it throws me off if say a photo is centered, but the text is aligned.
It’s tricky. I do think that it’s easier to read when the text is left aligned. But photos just have to be centered, unless they’re flowing w/ the text, etc. I’ll probably change my mind next week though!! ๐
Still waiting to hear back from Meredith…. will let you know soon about the rooms. ๐
Naturally Caffeinated Family says
I think all of your wall art is so cute! Roses are special to us too even though we have no name tie to it! ๐ I am going to have to show you the little rose throw pillows that my mom gave us years and years ago! I like left aligned unless it is something special but I’ll read no matter what you do! ๐
Amy says
Love your blog! Have been following for awhile and this is my first time commenting. I like your blog left aligned.
Mandy@ a sorta fairytale says
Love all of your rose inspired art ๐ And I like left aligned text (usually!)
angie congiardo says
Left aligned is easier to read but I do love the way centered looks, it is so symmetrical and neat haha ๐
Ashley Eaton says
I personally like centered better! It’s more fun. Left kinda makes me feel like I’m reading a textbook! Centered seems more friendly if that makes sense ๐
Teresa says
Just to throw you for a loop…I am a justified kinda girl with centered text under or above pictures.
Oooh, I just realized I’m so going to send you a pic of my curtain dilemma drama. Can’t decide if I should do 2 panels to frame my fire place or 4 panel. That is what I am obsessing over these days. Curtains!
Rhonda says
I too, was trying to decide between left align and center this past weekend… what’s up with that?! I’m still sticking with center for now, but that’s subject to change.
Love your blog – and love that your hubby is a financial man. Mine is too ๐
mary says
Left align! Left align!
Lisa says
I love all the rose art! I especially like the Scentsy warmer!!
I personally like the left align but then again I like the center alignment under the pictures! Sorry, I guess that wasn’t much help, huh?
Tim McSwain says
I prefer the left aligned text. I totally understand about how you feel concerning the blog… not so much with the rose obsession though. ๐
I often debate on what topic to blog about. I tend to be all over the place and I really respect the fact that you and Jeff have been able to create blogs that reach specific audiences. You are both doing very well with your blogs and I commend you for it.
We actually do have a rose bush in the back yard. It is beautiful all summer and we can have fresh roses anytime.

As an avid reader of your blog, I prefer left (personally) but having it centered doesn’t bother me as a reader. I think it’s whatever you as the blogger prefers… whatever you feel best with.
Lilliana says
I’m like one of the girls above….I don’t comment much I just do lots of reading n seeking ๐ your designs of course. I like the “left-align” and I love the roses that I’m normally not a big fan of just because my mom and sister are obsessed with them so I have my share, but I really like those frames! I’m curious to know how much you paid for them ? I also noticed that people ask you for designing ideas. I need help ! I wouldn’t ask you to decorate my whole house, just a few ?’s on color schemes that me & the hubby can’t come to agreement on, I’m sure no one ever has that problem … LOL
Christie says
I love, love, love the scentsy! I prefer to blog with text centered, and I don’t think it matters when reading it. I find left aligned to be a tad boring, but it could just be because I over-analyzed it. ๐
