And the impact it had on our nation.
I was in my 2nd year of college. I remember being in my apartment and getting a call from my parents to turn on the tv. The first plane had just hit. I was glued to the tv from that moment forward.
I never thought that 3.5 years later my future husband would be headed to Iraq to defend our freedom and fight for our country.
Where were you on 9/11/2001 and how did it impact your life?

I was in my 2nd year of undergrad as well, and all of our classes at Purdue were canceled that day. Now, 9 years later, I have 2 younger brothers who have either served in Iraq or are heading their shortly. I remember reading that during that time frame of all the plane crashes (something like less than 2 hours), over 3,000 children lost 1 or both parents. It’s stuff like that which people don’t immediately think about. So sad.
