It was so nice over the weekend that we decided to take the boys hiking.
J’s idea really. If you know me…I don’t do “outdoorsy” hobbies much. Unless it’s an outside shopping center.
But sometimes (and only sometimes) I will agree to do boy things with my boys. Hiking is boy-ish to me. Although I know A LOT of girls hike. But I just have this pre-conceived notion that hiking is for boys. Don’t judge.
Maybe you think shopping is for girls. See?
Anyway, Bents hung out in the baby bjorn, which he is almost too fat for…
…and P Man decided to walk like a big boy. Obviously strollers on hikes are not feasible. Because trust me…I would have been the one wanting to be pushed in the stroller (and I’m not above that). ahem.
It was only a mile hike. A mile seems like nothing. But, a mile with a 3 year old, 9 month old, lots of rocks, caves, and distractions = a LONG a** mile.
P did great though. Better than me actually. I think I tired out before him. He walked the ENTIRE trail with a smile on his face. He even kept saying “Mommy, we’re habing a gweat day”.
I think I actually might like hiking. Really. It’s not that boy-ish afterall.
