As we prepare for our vacation, a car mini-van ride that will take us nearly 12 hours {more like 15 with kids}, please pray that we can keep all of these cute faces happy.
Our youngest has NEVER traveled anywhere. At all.
He sometimes goes to the grocery store {10 minutes away} and church {12 minutes away} and that’s about the extent of it.
He’s ONE and he’s fierce.
Strong-willed and does not appreciate when things are not done his way.
This could possibly be 12 15 hours of torture if he decides that he doesn’t want to be in his car seat.
I’m taking ear plugs for all of us…just in case.
And can I just say that this picture below, signifies EVERYTHING I said I would never be.
A minivan mom WITH the storage thing on top. Whooooooaaaa.
Someone hold me.
My college friends would DIE if they saw me traveling this way.
Happy Vacationing! I feel like the Griswold’s!

Thank you! Not sure about awesome…but I am darn organized on this trip! I keep passing people with storage things on the top of their cars and then I smile and wave. I feel like I have a bond with them! LOL!

OMG KP is the same way! Like, she HATES the car, always has! We are going to the beach next week and I am NOT looking forward to it! I think we’re going to leave at night so avoid the meltdown of all meltdowns.

ROTFL I can so relate. My boys are older now: 13, 10, and 6, so now it is just the constant arguing we have to listen to! Good luck on the car ride. We have driven 22 hrs to FL and last Spring we went about 10 hrs to TN and it felt like a hop, skip, and jump. This past week we were on vacation a little over 2 hrs away and when my hubby so said no DVD for the ride the boys had a fit. He was like, it’s a 2 hr ride, man up boys! 🙂

Love it! We have one we used for Destin (rooftop chic)… Don’t stress, ours all did great on the drive. Just stop and let them run every-so-often. We’d look for cracker barrels so they could run around the rocking chairs outside and throw the big checker-board pieces at each other. Good times!! Was easier than chasing them around the restaurant though ! Have a great time!

I feel you Mandy! We leave on our family vacation in 2 weeks for our first road trip with our kids to Georgia (12 hours) then Hilton Head (6 1/2) and then 15 hours back home with our 4 and 2 year old! I can wait to hear about your excursion and any tips you had to survive the trip with little ones! I’m open to any of them and ear plugs will be a MUST!
Have a fun and safe trip!

The trip here was not that bad! I will let you know how it goes on the way back! 🙂

I feel your pain! I said I would never be one of THOSE moms either. No cartoons, no sweets, no tv in the car…..yeah whatever! ha! Good luck!
