Here I go again pretending I am Emily Eddington. Trust me when I say that I am no beauty expert.
Can we all agree that you won’t send me hate mail if you take any of my style advice and get made fun of? #kidding
I guess I never realized how much fun it was to “fix” my hair until my hair got long enough to fix.
By “fix” I clearly mean enlist my friends to fix it.
But now? NOW… I just flat out wanna be a hair stylist. Maybe this is all stemming from the fact that I started cutting my kids hair back in November and all the sudden I think I’m a professional, no?
Because it seems not long after that I did the DEEP WAVY CURL TUTORIAL with my friend Katie. Clearly trying to be an expert in the hair styling field.
When I saw my friend Haley’s GORGEOUS curls on Instagram a few weeks ago I commented that I needed her to show me how to be so pretty.
Guess what? She said “We should do a video tutorial…these curls are so SIMPLE!”
Ummm, count me in.
Cause as a mom? Simple is my thang’.
If you tell me it’s simple… I instantly know I can conquer it. And I’m here to preach it. She wasn’t lying. These curls are simple, but at the same time, simply amazing.
Speaking of simply amazing. Y’all… Haley’s bathroom looks like it belongs on the next HGTV show on bathrooms. If they even do a show on bathrooms.
Either way, this bathroom is beyond fantastic.
Ok, enough about places that you pee and more about gorgeous hair, yes? YES!
We absolutely had the best time shooting this video. It was our first time doing a video together and I am now claiming that Haley is my new best friend. Plus, if you’ve never visited her blog, Four Fit Sisters, you need to. Her and her sisters might be the prettiest people on the planet. All of them.
It shouldn’t be legal to have that many pretty woman in your family.
On their blog they teach woman about healthy eating and fitness.
Uhhhhh, I’ll do anything they tell me to if I can look as amazing as them.
A little before and after…
We both started out with our hair straight… and ended up with pretty everyday curls!
I know that by age 33 I should know how to curl my hair, but honestly… EVERY time I curled it it looked “too done up”. I love this simple look because it’s something you can wear as an everyday look.
It doesn’t make you look like your going to the prom.
Errrrrrrr, a charity ball. Prom was so 15 years ago.
If you want to see how to get these simple curls {using a $12 curling iron from Target} then take a look at our tutorial below.
See, how easy did that look? And how goofy are we. #donotjudgeus

What haircolor do you have? Do you color your own hair?

Great video, thanks for the tips! I need to remember to curl away from my face- I think that’s where I’ve been going wrong all these years 🙂
