These were two topics that I could clearly write about today and since everybody and their brother is writing about Obama…I figured I would carry on with my usual weekly post on The Bachelor.
I have never really been in to politics and even though I met Obama back in 2005 at a small get together I was invited to by the Mayor of Carbondale (a very good friend of mine)….I still don’t get into it. In fact, Mayor Cole likes to tease me that he took me to a party with the president to be – Obama (where there were only 25 people) and I was more worried about what time we were leaving and if we could go eat mexican! I know I know…I should be kicking myself that I didn’t spend more time talking to him while we were sitting on the couch next to eachother (although we did share a few words), but instead I am more interested in who Jason Mesnick is going to marry! It’s wrong…I know.
Jillian is my favorite. I really like Melissa, too, and liked Nikki until last night. I think he is keeping Megan around because he knows that they’ve been ganging up on her since the beginning and he hasn’t done much to get to know her. He’ll probably take her on a one on one date and decide then. Maybe?
Sometimes I like Molly and sometimes I don’t. I think he really likes her, though.
I just ran across your blog today and boy is it a welcome change from all the inauguration hoopla! I have to agree that I dont get it with Megan, and Shannon totally creeps me out. Melissa is definitely my favorite, but the previews for next week with her having a metldown worry me!
I actually watched it last night and was mesmerized! My fave is Jillian. Hubby and I could not believe he kept Megan. Geeze…she can’t really be 25…she looks at least 35. And she just seems like she’d be an evil step mother to his little boy.
My favorite Natalie line was when he was asking her what else she liked/was into other than fashion, shopping, shoes, etc. And she said, “I really like bears.” He responded with, “Do you mean koalas, pandas…?” “Oh, all kinds of bears.” She is 27??? Sorry but that was a very junior high thing to say.
Can’t wait until next week! I heard that Deanna is making a come back (not sure if its next week or not) and they chat by themselves pool-side. Hmmm….
Just stumbled on your blog from Blue Eyed Bride’s (The Bachelor post reeled me in!) and I’m so happy I found it!
I adore The Bachelor….it is my true guilty pleasure and look forward to it each season.
Melissa is my fav I think. Shannon is freaking weird. The whole leaving the rose ceremony to go puke was just odd. Maybe she wanted the attention and/or a pity rose. Either way…I am hoping she goes pretty soon.
Also, I feel the same way about Stephanie, but as I said before, Eric totally thinks it is going to be her. He is such a goof ball 🙂 Looking forward to next week too…
my fav is jillian, she may be the only normal one on there. they all have their weird awkward moments that i just loooove watching, great television!! good recap i just finished watching a day late on dvr. and i too met obama back in 2004, my old boss had a fundraiser for him and i cared less who he was at the time and couldn’t wait for the party to be over, and looky today i should’ve acted more interested i guess or at the very least got a pic! my boss said he’d be prez someday and i was like whatevr never heard of this guy before now, ha!
I honestly didn’t watch either…seriously I was crazy busy. …and I don’t even remember what I was doing.
i haven’t watched it yet but i do like him A LOT better the obama!! he looks a lot better too!
