Just heard that the MIL is scheduled to be back to visit in July.
I am relieved to learn that I have a DEFINITE babysitter for Nina’s wedding!
WOOT WOOT!
She will arrive on P Man’s birthday, JULY 22nd. Which reminds me that I need to start planning…ASAP!
He will be THREE!
So, of course, like any other typical THREE year old…he knows EXACTLY what he wants.
He told me last night that he wanted a “race car” party. So…this mom’s on a mad hunt to bring his race car party to life!
Any other moms out there who have thrown a race car party? I need ideas!!!!!!!!! HELP!

I have never thrown a race car party…yet…but here are some random ideas. For games, you could get some inexpensive remote control race cars that the kids could race for prizes. Or you can get one of those little race car track games. Might be fun for the boys at least, although Addie likes cars so she would probably be into it too 🙂 As for decorations, I am sure you will have NO problem finding cute race car stuff. I love race car flags so maybe you can find some real race flags and hang them up all over. OH…and aren’t tires a cool thing when it comes to race cars? Maybe you could get some old tired (from where I have no idea) but you could make them jump through the tires for a game or make them throw bean bags into a tire. That would be an easy kids game since the tire opening is so big. I know these are all SO random, but I just thought I would throw them out there 🙂 Good luck…I am sure you are going to plan a fabulous party. And seriously, how is P already THREE????!!

Just had my little guy’s party in April and although it was a sports theme, I came across some great online sources that will probably give you some ideas:

Here’s a bunch of fun stuff on etsy: http://www.etsy.com/search_results.php?search_query=race+car+birthday&search_type=handmade&ref=auto
Good luck!

Ah, a race car party will be awesome to plan! I am sure you will be able to find some neat decorations and all. P’s birthday is the same as my son’s, although he will be 20! Enjoy the planning and the party!!

Everyone has good ideas! You should totally take Jen’s idea of the checkered flag and run with it… Checkered napkins or tablecloths. The tire idea is good but could be dirty. Old tires are dirty… ick. But the racing of remote control cars is good too!
