Wasn’t it just a few weeks ago that I was complaining that it wasn’t hot enough?
And now… it’s went from too cold to too hot. Sometimes I wonder if I can ever be pleased. Ha! Don’t consult my husband on that question.
I recently did a photo shoot in the streets of my hometown with my friend Lauren and her adorable boutique called Eccentrics that I posted about HERE. This is the second set of pictures (with the other 2 outfit choices I went with).
One thing that I do love about the seasons changing is that it means… wardrobe change! Woot woot!
Now that I’m not pregnant {like I have been my whole life}, I can actually fit in to cute summer clothes. I’ve only been waiting for this day for 7 LONG years.
I don’t know about you, but by the end of winter I am so sick of my winter clothes and I can’t wait to put on tank tops and flip flops.
Dear Lord, if it wasn’t so unacceptable I’d probably wear flip flops all year long.
Then again, maybe not because I’d have to have pretty painted toes all year long and that would never happen.
Maybe it’s the fact that I’m in my 30’s now or possibly that I feel more comfortable in my own skin… but I find myself trying new looks all the time. In fact, it’s a requirement now when I go shopping that I promise myself I will try on at least ONE item that isn’t something I would typically wear.
You know what happened ever since I started implementing that strategy? I started to realize that I like more things that I thought. And that bold statement shorts and bright pink tops aren’t just for fashion models.
What about you, do you stick to what you are used to or do you like to try new looks? If you’re a “stick to what I know” kind of gal…I’m challenging you RIGHT NOW, the next time you go shopping try on something that you wouldn’t normally pick out. You may be surprised!!

I really like the lace tank top with the shorts! It’s hard to find shorts that look that great. They’re either too short or a little long, and either too wide on the thighs or too tight on the thighs.
So cute, I am in love with the pink floral shoes! I agree with you, now I wear what I want to without worrying if it’s “me” or not…if I like it and look good I buy it! So brave to wear those white pants with all those boys! That’s what I’m waiting for, a time when I can wear white again 🙂
