Who’s ready for Valentine’s Day? I know that EVERY single Valentine’s Day I start stressing over what to get the hubs. He literally is the most romantic man on the planet and…ME? Not so much.
In fact, trying to romance a guy…is quite the task. Especially a guy who is the king at it. Errr.
But I stumbled upon the cutest idea by Datevitation. They have an adorable custom love coupon book that is going to make me look like I am in the running for most romantic wife of the year.
Thank-you-very-much.
I know love coupon books are not “new”. But usually they come pre-packaged and are pretty standard. Datevitation is the only online platform that offers the choice of a custom love coupon book. They have over 200 date “ideas” to choose from!
Wanna see my absolute favorite one?
Ha! Only for Valentine’s Day would I EVER admit that I was wrong about something. Just sayin’.
A few more of the ones I chose…
- Dinner at a restaurant we haven’t tired. Let’s find our new favorite spot.
- Big Screen Movie Night. Chick Flick? Action Flick? YOU PICK!
- Dance lesson. You lead. I’ll follow. {Having been on a dance time for over half my life…letting my man LEAD…is harder said than done.}
- A thumb war! 1.2.3.4. you pick what we’re playing for… {We are constantly settling battles with thumb wars…ahem.}
- A trash free house for a month courtesy of yours truly. {It must be love if I’m offering to be on trash duty. Bleck!}
- Just me. No calls or text interruptions for an entire evening. {We both need to agree to this one. Ha!}
Aren’t these WAY cuter than the standard boring love coupon books?!
- Books start at just $20 so it makes for a thoughtful yet economical gift {score!}.
- You can use the code ‘houseofrose’ for $5 off your purchase until February 10th.
- Datevitation is a family business run by the husband-wife team of Alex and Olga Karpman. You can get to know them on the Datevitation blog, where they offer video guides to date ideas and romantic gestures.
Hurry up…grab one for your man!

I’m not the romantic type at all. I guess for me I never understood the point of Valentines day- other than for kids to have fun parties. If you with someone you have an anniversary to celebrate your love for one another and so forth… guess I just don’t understand the point and have never really celebrated it- it just confuses me- even if your just dating you celebrate how many years you’ve been together and a appointed time you should buy something for someone or show them some added love is nonsensical to me personally. It would mean more to do something special out of the blue and for no reason at all. Just my thoughts.

My husband and I usually just stay in and he cooks dinner for me and the boys! We don’t do anything elaborate, but I like to give him something little to show him that I love him. Just a reminder I guess! Haha! I agree though, anniversary dates are way more fun!

I saw this on your blog first and thought it’d be the perfect anniversary gift for my boyfriend. Then I saw they had a deal for it on groupon and got it there (it was half off) but I loooooove this idea! The perfect gift for someone like me who never knows what to buy for the guy in my life lol great post thank you!

This is really cute Mandy, I can’t wait for Valentine’s day! My favorite thing about the holiday is that my kids don’t know it’s coming up so I get to surprise them with lovey treats too 🙂 I bet your hubs will love the coupon book!

Did I miss where you said you ONLY give your husband on Valentine’s Day and you never do anything out the blue to show your love? Cute idea with the coupon book. I have made them before and my husband thought it was thoughtful and cute…..now getting him to actually use them…well we are still working on that one. LOL! ;0)

Cute idea for anytime – but especially for a time set apart you honor each other. Thanks for the idea, but the surprise will have to wait because I think he may follow all of the Rose blogs too 🙂
