My cousin, Tara, and her family have lived in Italy for the last three years. Her husband was stationed there for the military. They just recently moved back to the U.S.
As much as I would have loved to travel to Italy and visit her while they lived there, we never had the chance. Needless to say…it’s been three years since we have seen each other {maybe longer}.
A lot has happened in that three years. Including SIX kids.
Yes, we have each had THREE babies since we have last seen each other.
Wow.
That’ll make you feel like it’s been forever, right?
She has sweet Jude and Aden. Twin boys that are very close to Bentley’s age.
Side story: Did I ever tell you that my mom is a twin? I feel like I have probably mentioned it before now. Anyway, Tara is my mom’s twin sister’s daughter. She is also the one that I like to say “got the twin gene”. It’s gone every other generation in my mom’s family and I truly always thought that I would somehow end up with twins. But nope, not me. It was Tara.
Not to say that if I got pregnant again that it couldn’t be twins, but that’s neither here-nor-there because….
1) I’m not getting pregnant and
2) I’m not getting pregnant.
True story.
Tara and her hubby {Jonathon} also have a baby girl named Caroline, who is as sweet as can be.
What is it with me getting to be surrounded by gorgeous baby girls lately? I feel like there is been more posting about “pink” on this blog in the last week than there has been in the last year.
My cousin Mady was also here. She is like a mini-momma. For realz!
I always tease her that I need her to move closer so that she can be my live-in babysitter. She is amazing with kids.
Jude, Aden, and Bents were immediately little besties. I think I heard Jude say “I wuv my cousins!” more than a handful of times.
These three boys walked over to the school with me to go pick up P Man.
Three year olds think buses are the coolest thing on the planet. They were in bus heaven as we passed about about 15 buses to get to P’s pick up line.
Once P was home it was a house full of SIX kids. I got a glimpse of what life would be if we had that many kids.
Whoa buddy. It was fun while it lasted, but SIX is definitely a lot. 🙂 I just can’t even believe we got all the kids in one picture. I don’t care that none of them are looking. The fact that they are all in the shot is a success in my book.
Poor Caroline. Bents was trying to hug her, but his hugs are more like choke holds. I love how he’s just looking at her like, “What dude? I’m just trying to hug you.”
Now that Tara and her family are back in the U.S. I am hoping we will get to see more of them. We still live VERY far apart, but at least we are in the same country now. Ha!
I don’t want three years to go by again before I see these cute faces.
We forgot to get a picture of the twins with the twins. My mom and her sister with Jude and Aden. Darn!
I just had to include this sweet picture of my mom and Bents {and SJ, kinda?}.
I wish I knew what they were talking about.
If I had to guess? Bents was probably trying to convince her to go get him some cookies.
If I had some sort of super-hero power I think I would want it to be the ability to stop time. These babies are growing way too fast! We had such a wonderful visit with my cousin and her family…I just wish it could have lasted longer!

It so fun to get cousins together! We are military too and don’t see ours often enough. They are a hoot together. Looks like you all had fun!

I. Love. Babies! Oh my gosh this post was way too cute for words. 6 kids would be a lot, but a lot of fun too!
