Nursery Ideas

190 Flares 190 Flares ×

I realize that I have not recapped Christmas. Nor have I recapped Vegas. I am behind. WAY behind.

I thought with all the picture choices (from my husband-aka the paparazzi) it would be easy to drop in some pics and call it a day. But…really…when you have 500 + pictures to go through, it makes it harder and takes me longer.

So, for now. I procrastinate. :)

I would like your opinion on some nursery ideas though. Boy ideas of course.

I’m just about tapped out on ideas for boys. P’s room is green. Bents is blue. So I want baby #3′s to be something different. Here are a few I like:

I love the owl theme. I wouldn’t do the walls green obviously. I actually want the walls to be vertical striped. nursery ideas

Kind of like these stripes (but vertical)… baby boy nursery

And how cute is the chocolate brown and orange? LOVE. boy nursery ideas

Plus, I already have that stuffed giraffe. Stilz. Remember him?

However, I am planning to move the glider to the nursery and I don’t know that it would go with these colors.

My current glider… nursery glider

Please give me some suggestions here. I can no longer think blue. And it doesn’t look like I’ll be thinking pink. So, that leaves me to turn to my readers for HELP!

I like modern. Anyone have any thoughts? Opinions? Ideas?

What if you do a grey, white, mustard theme. I LOVE THOSE! Lol. It would match your glider (it looks grey..is it?) The stripes, and subtle splashes of the mustard (in place of the orange in your above inspiration pics). Get mustard throw pillow for your glider and keep it simple and very modern.

Love the brown and orange that is what I’m doing for our second baby boy due in April. But that wouldn’t match that beautiful glider… I do like the above idea with the grey, white, and mustard.

BTW, what is the name of the green you have in P’s room? I really like it!

I like the mustard/grey idea as well but would also suggest grey and lime for a little bit of pop! The owl theme is one of my favs too though! :) Good luck!

Loving the strips! Also like the idea of having orange as an accent color! You could do the strips a shade of gray and lighter brown. Super neutral then you could add any accent colors in you wanted. That would also work great with the owls( super cute) as it has both gray and brown in it! Then you could just do throw pillows and curtains in the accent color. Hope this helps that is just what came to my mind when I saw all the pics :)

forgive me if this is a duplicate comment…just googled owl themed nursery and came across this bedding. It has the orange and chocolate brown that you like, plus it has some gray accents in it, so you could still use your glider. Maybe just add a orange or chocolate brown throw pillow to tie it all together. Here is the link…http://www.lilsugar.com/Retro-Owl-Themed-Nursery-Decor-2987478?page=0,0,1

I love the chocolate brown & orange look but can understand needing to tie in the gray (it is gray, right?) of your chair. I think all three of those colors can be used in a room together, though. Why don’t you use gray as the stripe or main color in the room and accent with both chocolate and orange? I think it’ll be super cute!

What about grey, white and orange? It would match your glider and it would have the splash of orange that you are looking for.

I have a striped nursery saved in my little inspiration folder on my computer, so I thought I would share the link:

Of course I have been in the hunt for baby boy bedding also. I found a website that has custom bedding and I love it. Check it out, http://www.modpeapod.com, they have so many to choose from and you can even pick out your own fabric to create your own set. Goodluck girl, it is hard enough to pick out one set for a boy, I’d be crazy after doing it three times.

I love the idea of gray and white with a little splash of color! Take a look at these two modern rooms that are primarily gray and white! May not be your taste, but I think the rooms look amazing…and the sites give you all the details on where to find everything so it makes it easy! Good luck!

I think animal themes for kids are the best way to go. So I like your owl theme, and the picture with the giraffe. For something different, have you thought of ladybug crib bedding?

I like the owl theme, too. It seems the kid is surrounded by a beautiful forest. I also like the NoJo Jungle Tales themes. There are lion, elephant, giraffe etc. What occurs to you? yes, safari! I would highly recommend you to take a look about it at http://www.livesnet.com/2011/08/nojo-baby-bedding-makes-for-a-sweet-nursery-theme/.

I have been looking all over for a glider like that!! Where is yours from, or is it for sale? (wishful thinking I’m sure) :-)
