I think I spent my entire 20’s wearing ZERO accessories.
In fact, I can remember thinking how much I hated when my mom would wear pretty earrings and necklaces that looked so glamourous. I didn’t understand how much a piece of jewelry could make or break an outfit.
I guess I was too into boys at the time.
Which is ironic, since you ‘d think that I would have realized that jewelry enhances your fashion which makes you more attractive in the eyes of a man. Or at least in the eyes of a college aged man.
Oh to be in college again.
Flash forward to my 30’s and I seriously hardly ever leave my house without my accessories. Necklace, earrings and watch…are in my every day attire.
And I love how by just adding one piece of jewelry that you can change the look of so many different outfits.
Make them dressy. Or casual. Or flashy. Or simple.

I’m on the verge of my 29th birthday and I just thought the other day how I always look frumpy now that I’m a SAHM. A few jewelry pieces would be amazing! I need to invest in some quality pieces and some cute flats!
I am a little lazy when it comes to accessorizing, but I am trying to up my game and wear at least one statement piece a day. It’s amazing how it adds so much to an outfit and I always get compliments!

I ALWAYS have earrings and the ring made in honor of my stillborn son, Simon, on before I leave the house. I also like to accessorize with necklaces and scarves. I am in some serious need of some cute bracelets and a watch though!

I love accessories but seem to have a hard time picking them out for myself. I see them on other people and love them but when I go to buy them I start asking myself if I would really wear it or what I would wear it with and talk myself out of buying it. I think I just need to buy a variety of colors so I will always have something to match 🙂

I wore a lot of jewelry in my late 20’s when I was a working girl (now, not THAT kind of working girl!) but then had kids so I kinda stopped wearing it so the babies wouldn’t swallow my earring or scratch up their faces on my necklaces…but now I am finding myself getting back into it. Makes my boring clothes have a little more WOW!

I love accessorizing!! But, as I’ve gotten older I have come to realize a little goes a long way. I love a statement necklace or some great dangly earnings, but will pick one or the other – not both. And as far as rings go, I find myself taking off large, clunky rings throughout the day anyway, so I’m more interested in finding some quality, dainty bands that I can wear on a daily basis.
