I’ve been dreaming of this chair for quite some time. Just ask my co-workers. If they have to hear one more word out of my mouth about this stupid chair they might terminate me from the “lunch crew”.
You know me…I like a bargain and to say that I got this chair for a bargain would be lie.
It’s a Crate and Barrel chair.
Yea. So you can imagine that the price was nearly outragious. Not a bargain by any definition of the word.
I contemplated and contemplated and EVEN prayed about this dang chair for MONTHS.
Should I go for it? Should I find a cheaper one? Should I splurge? Should I go without a new chair?
Seriously, if you are thinking I have too much time on my hands right now…you might be right.
But. after looking and searching and looking and searching for a chair that was similar (a chair and a half to be exact), I came up empty handed. Nothing compared. Nothing was as comfortable. Nothing as classy.
So. After months of drooling over this chair…and staring at the empty space in my living room that would fit this chair perfectly…I am happy to say…it is NOW MINE! Or should I say “OURS”? Oh who am I kidding, my husband could care less.
I went against my motto of “get a deal”. Just this once. I wanted it that bad.
I may have justified it in my head that ‘since I got a steal on the couch, I am okay with overpaying for a chair’. Dumb, right? But, it made me feel better.
Plus, I did get 15% off. So see…it was “on sale”. Oh how that puts my mind at ease just a smidge.

I have to say… The prices at C&B and PB leave me in a state of shock. I just am not yet at the point in my life that I can justify spending that kind of cash… but I hope to be someday! 🙂 The people I babysit for bought the big couch that matches your chair & a half! 🙂 Oh, and the ottoman that serves as storage for their daughter’s ISH! The couch is amazingly comfy… I mean, I just took a nap on it a couple of hours ago… So, I can imagine that your chair was worth it!!! Sweeeeeet!
