Just ask my husband, I used to proclaim that I would absolutely NEVER like protein shakes.
Ewww. Gross. Puke. No way.
Pretty much how in college I claimed I would never drive a minivan. Like never ever ever. (—> Andddddd then I had kids).
Proud minivan owner since 2011. What what.
When I started doing the fit challenges I forced myself to try the shakes that go with it. I honestly thought I would take one sip, say “heck-no” and move on.
But, I was shocked when I actually took a drink? AND LIKED IT.
Sooo, if you are like me, and thought you would never like any kind of healthy shake…I am here to give you hope. Because I have now found at least 5 recipes that I totally dig.
Sometimes I wonder who I even am these days. 😉
I wanted to share with you my favorite one. I make this almost every single day. Clearly I like variety. Ahem.
- 1 Cup Almond Milk
- 2 TBSP water
- 7 Frozen strawberries
- ½ Banana
- 1 TBSP V-8 Splash Smoothie Strawberry/Banana
- 1 Scoop Vanilla Shakeology
- Add frozen strawberries, banana, almond milk, water, V-8 splash smoothie and vanilla shakeology. I blend mine in a Nutri-Bullet for approximately 30 seconds.
- You can also use Chocolate or Strawberry Shakeology flavors.
Of course, my oldest son HAD TO show you just exactly how we do it. I love his enthusiasm. Not so much his ability to pour <— watch to see what I mean.
