It’s funny to think that I have been out of high school for 11 years. WOW. Talk about feeling old.
When I think back about the good ‘ole days, I can’t help but remember the good friends that I made during that time. There were about 7 of us girls that were BFF’s. We did EVERYTHING together. We pretty much stayed out of trouble (most of the time) and we treated eachother like sisters.
When graduation came…it’s sad to say…but we all went our separate ways. We tried to stay in touch, but with our new college life came new friends and new adventures. We would chat a few times a year…but as the years went on…college ended…marriages began…and kids came along…life got busy. Which is a bad excuse to loose touch with old friends. But it’s true.
Last year was our 10 year class reunion and we were all back together again. Can I just say…it felt like we hadn’t skipped a beat. Like we had never lost touch. Like we lived next door to eachother. Don’t you just LOVE old friends? Sometimes old friends are the best friends!
It really made wish that we would all make more of an effort to get together more often. So you can imagine that I was thrilled when one of the 7, Shannon, decided to come by for a visit.
Not to mention that her son and P Man are only 3 days apart in age (even though P looks like a giant compared to Kaleb). I love that Kaleb is trying to hold his hand in this picture.
Her and her family live about 3 hours north of us now so it was so good to spend some time together.
Miss Kenna was just a newborn when I saw her last. Wow how she has changed. Isn’t she a doll?
I loved watching them play together and I can honestly say that it made me sad that we don’t get together more often.
SO….if you are one of the SEVEN (and you know who you are)…I have a challenge for you. Let’s make an effort. Let’s try and do a group visit at least once a year? I think we can pull it off.
