I not only ask my best friend from college {who was visiting from Chicago} to participate in our Harlem Shake video, but I also begged and pleaded with her to do a fashion photo shoot with me. Because, seriously, she is hottt!
She wasn’t super stoked about posing outside in the rocks in freezing cold temps, but I promised her I would snap the photos quick. And heck, she is wayyy better at this modeling pose fiasco than me.
I was definitely not a model in my former life. Ahem.
I feel all awkward and weird. And her pics were like she was straight off the New York runway. How is that fair?
Maybe I should just stick to decorating.
The theme of this photo shoot was definitely BRIGHT!ย I guess the dreary days of winter are finally getting to me.
If you check out my style pinboard I tend to only pin things that have lots of color. My how things have changed since college when 99.9% of my wardrobe was black.
No, seriously. Even the hubby stopped letting me buy any more black shirts.
Amy is wearing one of my favorite shirts EVER from the Gap. Isn’t she gorgeous? The shirt definitely looks better on her than me.
We had such a good time shooting these pictures…and I think she is finally getting my “I’m a blogger” talk. Bahaha!
She use to just think I was a weirdo when I talked about the blog. But, now? I think she may actually think it’s cool.
What bright things have you been rocking lately?

I’m seriously craving bright colors right now! I’ve been on the hunt for colored denim to embrace the bright trend but I have yet to find anything. I think I tried on over 8 pairs at Belk yesterday. Boo! I will prevail! (And probably find the perfect pair after the trend is no longer fashionable ha!)
