Welcome to…
Happy Wednesday everyone!
My Erin Condren planner finally arrived and I am in love.
Last year I had a MomAgenda {which was great too}. But, I really love the different designs you can do with the Erin Condren planners so this year I was determined to get one!
The EC planner style I purchased for myself is the Trellis. I ordered the Taffy Stripes, Viva Espana Watercolor, and Viva Espana Chevron for gifts…and they are all very fun too!
I’m also linking up with Meredith from The Tichenor Family for her Erin Condren Life Planner link up! If you’ve been thinking about ordering one go check out the people who have linked up for full reviews!
From now on I will be hosting the “Stop & Smell the Roses” link up every OTHER Wednesday. I have posted a schedule below and on my sidebar so that you can keep track of when we are on and when we are off.
Summertime is a crazy busy time for EVERYONE so I am hoping this schedule is ok with you all! I truly did miss you guys last week and I can’t wait to see your pretty faces!
So let’s hear it, what are you happy about this week?
If you are interested in vlogging with us…it’s super EASY and we’d love to have you! Here are the details!

This is my fisrt time linking up… and I just loved the idea.
Like you, I was late on the planner bandwagon, but we’ll hopefully start next year. 🙂 I think I just like it because of how cute it is– I would probably buy a phone book if it was covered in chevron.
Anyway, I noticed that you went to SIU- Carbondale! I went to Edwardsville {the nerdy sister school}. I’m really glad I found your blog and I hope you have a great week!

Your EC Planner is so you!!! The colors, the design, everything! Love it! And I am totally down with the new schedule does SASTR. Although, I will miss everyone in the weeks between 🙂
Kenzie says
You and Jen are totally gonna make me purchase an EC planner. I’m such a freak with writing EVERYTHING down and I’ve tried basically every Target planner they have in stores. I think I’ll really need it for the upcoming school year, too! Agreed though… Yours is so “you!” Love it! I PROMISE y’all I’ll link up the next week we have SASTR 🙂 Have a great week! xoxox

Oh my, GOD! I NEED one of these (well, I need two of these! One for my personal life and one for teaching!) How the heck have I (the OCD freak) never heard of these before?! They’re beyond amazing and I can’t wait to jump on the bandwagon too! haha! Thanks for enlightening me, love bug. I owe ya!!
You looked gorgeous, as always, and I can’t wait to see your pretty face again in two weeeeks! 🙂 (P.S. I think the every other week thing is a good idea. The summer is just crazy busy and this will be so much more flexible and manageable!) xoxo

Hey girl! I have been debating on ordering one of these planners and jumping on the band wagon myself. Question for you: In my job, I schedule countless meetings and always find myself rescheduling and changing my WHOLE day around last minute. With these planners, can I use pencil with them in order for me to erase meetings and change stuff around? I keep hearing about the use of pens and was wondering if you could look into this for me. Thanks so much and I love your vLogs and understand you have a busy schedule. Good for you for taking a step back and doing it every other week.
Mandy says
Hey girl! I just tried mine with a pencil and it worked perfectly fine! The paper is just regular paper so you will be good with a pencil. Hope that helps!
Lindsey says
Love love love!!! I am obsessed with mine! I got mine last Thursday and was thrilled as well with how thin it is this year and I was super psyched with the little extras I got to go with it 🙂 xoxo

Those planners are so stinkin’ cute! I’m so tempted to jump on the EC planner bandwagon. We shall see! 🙂

Thanks for being such a gracious host, Mandy. I enjoy having this time on my blog schedule and I’ve been able to meet lots of new bloggers through it. I think the every other week schedule is fine because once summer ends, Fall and the holidays will be just as busy. I’m glad you like your EC planner. Mine arrives Saturday!
Cate says
I love your EC planner. I think the every other week thing will be great. I was planning on doing a pre-wedding day vlog and linking it up on the 25th anyways. I will have a few guest stars in it as well. Can’t wait to share everything with all of you! 10 days!
Kristin @ Change is Necessary for Growth says
1st off, sorry I haven’t been linking up lately…I have been SO freakin’ busy lately that I have sadly been neglecting my blog and the blogosphere! 🙁 It stinks, but I just have no time…
2nd, SO glad you finally got an EC planner…yours is adorable! I haven’t ordered my 2012-13 planner yet, but you better believe I’ll be doing it here soon! I have loved having one this past year 😀

I just found your blog and think the SASTR Vlog is a great idea. I loved watching these and maybe next time I’ll participate. I’ll have to get some courage though b/c it would be my very first vlog.
I also like your planner review b/c mine is arriving today. It is my second year with an EC planner. I’m excited to start writing in the new one.
I look forward to following your blog.
Colleen says
Mandy I love your cover choice for you Life Planner! I debated this year between Trelis and Chevron too, but at the last minute Candy Lace won my heart.
You are SO sweet to buy them for your babysitter and pre-K teacher–those are fabulous gifts they will not forget!
Looking forward to linking up again for the vlogs soon!
Nina says
Love that you are a planner lover like me! I LOVED using my EC planner last year and I’ll be ordering one for 2013 when mine runs out in December. Neon chevron please! I really like the every other week schedule for SASTR. Sorry I have been MIA with all this crazy moving business- but you will see my face for the next link up. I still owe you Hilton Head recs, too. Love you, bang sister!!

Just discovered your blog. Love it <3 I'm a big time stationery addict .. I have been going back and forth between whether I should get a momagenda or I should purchase this years Life Planner.. I had the Life Planner from last year and you weren't wrong. They were a lot thicker before! They were so heavy that I had a lot of trouble to carry it with me everywhere as I would normally do with my agenda, so please let me know if you find that your Life Planner is lighter than your momagenda? Thanks so much! 🙂
Mandy says
Thanks so much! I would definitely say that the EC Life Planner is lighter and smaller than the MomAgenda. I was pleasantly surprised! After having used both…I prefer the EC. 🙂
Katie Price says
Thank you so much for this blog & discussing all the parts of the planner! You have officially sold me on it 🙂
