I might be Johnny on the Spot when it comes to taking down Christmas decorations (day after girl – right here), but when it comes to documenting our Christmas recap?
Not so much.
However, these are moments that I absolutely NEVER want to forget so I vowed that I will post about them anyway.
Late and all.
We battled sickness all throughout December, per the usual. Unfortunately, Parker woke up Christmas morning and was miserable.
It was sad because he was trying to be so excited (because he truly was), but his poor little body was saying LAY DOWN.
I caught him mid cough by accident when I was trying to take a picture of all three of them.
That right there…is real life.
I finally got him to take some medicine and as soon as it kicked in…he felt much better. Thank the Lord!
All three boys got headphones for Christmas. Hallelujah!
I can not even tell you how many times I have to say “Please turn down your iPad!”
If I had to guess…I say it at least 10 times a day.
I can’t really say if Santa’s headphone gift was more for them… or more for Jeff and I. LOL!
Because the quiet that we experience now is a gift that keeps on giving.
Luckily, Poppy is always over to help assemble Santa’s toys.
Sometimes I feel like you need a college degree to just get them out of the package. Seriously.
Toy makers don’t mess around folks.
Our oldest son is obsessed with Legos. Unfortunately, I hate buying Legos.
But this year, I think I might have finally had a change of heart.
He is old enough now to put them together without mommy or daddy’s help. He stayed up super late and woke up super early the next morning because he was so focused on putting his new Halo set together.
It actually made me so proud to see him committed to finishing a project like that.
Like I mentioned in my Busyness Blah post…Christmas is pretty low key for us!
This year we really tried to focus on celebrating the birth of Jesus and teaching the boys more about giving.
Next year…we will hopefully have the most exciting Christmas yet with a family of SIX!
We will probably spend the majority of 2015 sitting on pins and needles waiting for “the call” from our adoption agency.
