We left my cousin’s house around 9:00 am and headed to Garden of the Gods…which was gorgeous! We knew we couldn’t leave Colorado Springs without seeing it.

But after our short visit it was back in the RV for the LONGEST one day stretch we had made yet. It was brutal. I really thought I might lose my cool.

We drove from Colorado Springs, Colorado to Topeka, Kansas which was about 8 hours.

Which in a car? Is not that long. But in a big ole’ RV? Takes forever.

The boys were about to kill each other. We decided to stop in Salina, Kansas to try and find a restaurant, but instead found an awesome splash pad!

Who needs food when you have spraying water. Pssst.

This random splash park saved my sanity. In so many ways.

Day 12 – Topeka, Kansas
