If you did not get a Christmas card from the Roses this year…don’t worry, you didn’t secretly tick me off.
No.
It’s called…I launched a new business while currently running a few different blogs and helping the hubby run his business. All while refereeing the constant WWE match that goes down here at the Rose casa on a nightly basis.
And somethings gotta give my sweet and understanding friends.
That something just so happened to be my Christmas chores. {insert my “don’t judge me” face}
Which included decorating, baking, Christmas cards and early shopping.
Absolutely none of those happened. And it kinda felt good.
If I was being super honest.
Sometimes I have all this pressure on myself to do do do.
For what? So I can be stressed out and act like a psycho all the time?
This year I decided it wasn’t worth it.
If you don’t believe me… Just read how I almost had an elf burial last week. You’ll get how serious I am after that.
I just wanted to enjoy the moments with my children this year instead of stressing out about how good my mantel looks or how the hell I am gonna get all these children dressed in something more than their underwear for a family Christmas photo.
And my motto became… “If it doesn’t bring JOY, then it doesn’t get done!”
Perhaps next year I will resume my Supermom abilities, but until then…I’m enjoying the holidays with a half-decorated tree and lots of love from my kids.
Merry Christmas!

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas!

Agreed! My tree didn’t go up until last night and that was only because the hubs insisted! My mantel is only decorated because it’s all framed stuff!!! But I enjoyed lots of cuddles 🙂
Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas Mandy!
I agree with you, the holidays are more about slowing down and enjoying your family.
Baking, early shopping and Christmas cards are super fun but not the most important thing.
